From what Bioware has described in their last post, it seems like we might be getting more then just DLC missions, and more of something like an Extended Cut of the main story missions.

"As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players."

What's the difference between and Extended Cut and DLC stuff? Well, it's like what happened with Witcher 2 and ME3. For Witcher 2, there were complaints that Act 3 was way too short, and certain events and characters needed more explaining. So they added new missions specific to the main story in Act 3, and added more cutscenes during the main story to give more details to players. Something similar happened with ME3's ending, where they added new cutscenes to the final 10 minutes.

If they do go this route, these are the areas I'd like some improving on.

1) Give more focus on Corypheus. Right now, he's just Harb 2.0. All trash talk, and no depth beyond details you read about. And give me a proper battle with him.

2) Give a better closure to the main "Mage vs Temp" plot. It seems to disappear after you pick one of their missions, and get Skyhold. I like to know what happens to those people if I didn't do there mission, beyond "I killed the main leader at Haven, and the rest disappeared". I'd be cool if they made a DLC that maybe showed what happened to them, assuming they didn't all die from the snow drop.

3) Give us a better idea on Orlesian politics. I kept getting confused on who was who, and who represented what.

4) If this is the final game dealing with the Chantry, allow me to actually deal with them. Because for majority of the game after Haven, they're a group arguing with me from afar. And for a game that's mostly about a Holy War, or story about how you might be changing the Chantry, I should feel like I'm changing more then just how they deal with Mages, or who becomes the Divine.

5) Please allow Skyhold to be attacked "somehow" and show how I prevent another Haven from happening.

6) Allow some form of backstory to be told on our hero. I know there's one you can expand on with Scribbles, and there's bits about it on the War Table, but allow us to meet those people from out backstory in a mission somehow. I wouldn't mind meeting my character's parents, or meet the mercs he/she used to work for. Or have something from the merc life come back to haunt the Inquisitor.

Possible Plot-holes, inconsistencies or errors to be fixed:

1) It seems too easy how majority the the leaders of Fereldan and Orlesian don't have an issue with me taking territory away from them, and building my own army in their lands. Shouldn't they meet with me first?

2) In the game, they claim there was a woman who dropped the Inquis off, and thus why they think you're the Harald. And if we're going off the intro where it's the Spirit that saves him/her, we can believe the assumption. However, in the flashback, the Spirit was really the actual divine (why does he/she remember the Divine as a Spirit?), and was then taken away, and you simply jump out (which gave you memory lose?) So where's the woman everyone reported who saved you?

3) How did Corypheus sneak into the Conclave undetected?

All good questions, maybe this will address many of the plot holes so many of us have 'trouble' with?  May be a mute point, as last update left many of us with a broken game - again. People are so angry that I feel them scream over the internet -some rant and some carefully crafted creativity.

Why push DAI out the door with so many open issues like trying to force video cards into a common format - testing crap that should have been removed after inhouse testing -Who does that?  Many of the early errors were clearly due to the compiler or equivalent they were using because of the shear numbers, but why no scrubb to verify the results across platforms - we see this repeated with the patches and updates!  They over wrote their own repairs!  The quality control on mod development is very rigorous, some might say analy retientive, but we are all volunteers.

I feel some interim period "stop and take a breath" and reopen a set of focused betas to address the issues is needed.  These reactionary patches seem to cause more problems than they fix across all  platforms.  Additionally, the screaming helped isolate a problem in the communications between frostbite and the RPG module that is producing many lagged video issues- this foundation issue has to be addressed before another DLC.

Anyway, glad you're keeping that keen eye on the plot!  I find your posts rather calming after going over the system issues - thanks

CD Projekt RED are very much gamers, and it shows in there additions to there games, Because of this I respect them probably more than any other Game maker, although I dislike there constant push the graphics to almost un playable level's.

They are very good to quickly remove any DRM shortly after only a few patches, and they just seem to actually love making games.

Reason I stated the above is CD Projekt RED, release these extended cut titles for free, and because they love there game, and there fan's.  I doubt that this same value will be done with a Bioware title, but I do think we will see many DLC attempt's.

1. Corypheus is not presented well in this game. I cannot take him seriously. He blows himself up, faceplants into the eluvian and gets humiliated again in the final cutscene of him. I don't see him very often even, like 2  or three times. The way the game ended made me feel that he was not the biggest problem of Thedas. If our dear Soul-less turns out to a villain... that would be an epic twist.

2. The mage-templar ends too abruptly. I expected some negotiations or something that has to do with some sort of agreement.between the two parties.

3. There is no big variety in the armor types. They weren't lazy because the mobs have nice looking armor.

4. A better understanding about what went on at the conclave.

There are at least two more games for this platform already in development that we know of -it would be wise to iron out the bugs and that includes DLC functionality. DLC also provides a "hook"  in case other products need delays.  We also need to see the improved models perform.  I've studied a few quest instabilities to see how they develop and this area could also be vital to understanding how to control or dampen the instabilities.

A simple description.  The RPG module gets a quest deliverable and places it in/on the Frostbite living world.  In some cases (random aspect) the placement is unstable because of how Frostbite handles barriers and surface textures, the deliverable may move or become isolated = lost deliverable.  How severe this will be depends on the quest and how many "broken" quests you have.   A lot of these have been isolated and some fixes applied, but some are much harder to isolate and understand.

I'm sure no one wants a repeat of the unpleasantries any time soon.

i want a place at the end of the game to farm mobs and test the super pro crafted gear i made.

for the other notes -

1. if you read assunder and the masked empire you can get a pretty good idea of what orlais is and their context.

2. the dlc from DA2 i think gives a pretty good grasp of who and what coryphues is/was. (it may be better they dont go to deep into him. because then we will want more info about the ancient magisters, how they got into the fade. that could be a whole other game that they are planning.)

3. i agree the templar/mage war was rather lame and ended abruptly with no further depth.

wasn't a fan of Witcher, but I really like CD Projekt RED as a developer because of all the customers' support and anti-DRM. They were being taken advantage too much sometimes because of it since people downloaded it illegally more than actually buying it according to one of the interviews.

Then again, the living cost is different and more expensive in U.S., maybe they can afford to dedicate more resources into it. Just a guess though, but it would be nice if DA actually release these cut contents for free.

So no DRM ? And they weren't affected by piracy ? :P

On topic: I don't remember a game sending me to my quarters after the final battle to finish the game. it was like GTFO. I seriously expected something to happen in  my quarters...

I added another bit they could add. Was thinking they could also work on expanding the backstory of the Inquisitor. A lot of it is dialogue details and war table stuff, but it'd be cool if you met with your formal merc/carta/dalish groups.

I'm not a fan of The Witcher or CD Projekt Red, but if they start making BioWare games and BioWare stops making BioWare games, I guess I won't have a choice.

Looks like CD projekt Red are going forward and improving their games, while Bioware are in full reverse.

I don't think I would be very interested in DLC that adds more things to collect, which is all I would now expect from this company.

Defiantly need something's in a doc

Skyhold attacked
More uses such as when you upgrade to a chantry give us mission such as maybe stabilising the chantry in the thedas
Templar/Mage tower gives missions to go out capture mages or recruit more Templars/ or help them in some way
A way to get to the place where the big battle happened or explore the orlais capital
Sky hold still seems to have loads of room like empty areas maybe allow us to build more such as a Mage area or equipment room
More needs to happen in the quarters like getting delivered mail that don't go to the war table such as maybe getting an invite to meet someone or mail from your background getting you to explore your background
A few near areas maybe not huge but enough so you can go see your dallish clan or your ferrel den background or dwarfven background
Keeps don't seem that useful they don't really do much maybe we should be able to send them out around the area to explore or kill bandits and actual see them roaming around.
Restore some of the keeps so you get to repair them and not leave them with walls broken in places
Defiantly need a map where you get to use your most best armour or weapons
I want to see the wardens now working for me where they went when I recruited them or where i can visit them.

New dskill tree like the a duel rogue like when you got the skill in origins to get you to attack in a specfic way or the one that can get you to attack faster/ warriors arcane warrior your partially touched with a spirit

I agree with your points. Particularly the end left me disappointed; it wasn't as confusing as ME3's at first, but it just felt rushed and underwhelming.

There was so much buildup to it. I always had the feeling that we will get an ending similar to the suicide mission where the survival of our companions and troops depends on the upgrades we made to Skyhold and which descisions we make in the final battle. Cullen even spoke about "making Skyhold's defenses ready" and at another point Bianca warned the Inquisitor to better not loose Varric.

Then we get to the floating islands with three companions, slash Corypheus to death and the game ends with a very short epilogue (although I really like that it's read out this time).

I'd like to get a real final battle and an epilogue that focuses on more than 3-4 descisions I made.

Edit: I just remembered the "party" at the end. What happened to the excellent way this was excuted in the Citadel DLC? Why do we only get to speak very shortly with our companions and then go away?
