In ME3MP, we could use biotics to stagger them or even make the shield float away, or we could shoot them through the "mail slot." Or simply use an armor-piercing mod.
Any tricks like that for these guys? Or is someone just supposed to get behind them while the tank tries to hold their attention without doing much, if any damage?
Soloing with my legionnaire for last weekend's challenge, I think I took them down by staggering them with Payback Strike.
Chain Lightning, PoTA, Hook, Explosive Shot, Charging Bull, Shield Bash (and probably more) knock them down / away from their shield.
Or just block parry with shield wall // flank // auto attack spam // flex pose // ???? // profit
You see, in this game, we don't use guns, glowing blue anti-gravity effects and futuristic technology.
We bash people's skulls, slice open their spinal cords, and set them on fire.
Devour bypasses shield and staggers if you're playing reaver.

Pretty sure this is factual. I've had people blocking me, then I used devour and just demolished them. In my experience, it seems unblockable.

IMO, Block And Slash uses too much stamina, and the guard it generates does almost nothing in the grand scheme. Also, it seems like 90% of the time, I take damage even if the counter activates, so it's not even really useful for reducing the damage you take. The health absorbed from devour counts for more than that guard (A full bar of guard is 25% of your HP and Block and Slash might give you like 1/5 of a bar, which is like 5%, while Devour can easily manage higher numbers) and busts through annoying blockers.
I want to love Block and Slash. I really do. But because I always seem to take damage anyways, it's kind of pointless to me, regrettably.
As they are weak to Lightning, then just use Lightning against them if you have it.
As a Katari enthusiast, I say don't charge them because they will block it 90% of the times, if not 100%.
Use Mighty Blow or Pommel Strike, and then charge. They can't block MB/PS and both of those skills will put them in vulnerable state.
And don't use hook, because it's bad and buggy skill, although it's fun.
Bring a Justicar along and use Pull!

With all my characters I have a skill to lose agro. Unless I'm a Templar. Then I stand in font of them and win.
umm reavers, legionnaires and katari have no such skill....

I wouldn't advise using charging bull unless you like to running full speed into the enemies shield. If they have the shield up you can't run them down with that skill.
