I just got it but am unsure if the 3 attacks applies only to basic attacks or if some abilities utilize the 3 bolts such as Leap Attack or anything else.

It's the default attack. 3 shots of full draw or longshot would be gamebreaking on any difficulty.

Had a friend tell me that Leap Shot utilized it but that seemed OP to me. I worded it so because I realized Long Shot and others did not use it. Just making sure.
Nope, only on auto-attacks.
RNG has given me my 7th Longbow of the Griffon yesterday. Working as intended.
Only on basics. Leaping shot is 12 shots, it stays that way regardless of bow to my knowledge.
the upgrade to leaping shot makes the next auto attack knockdown its targets. Its possible you can knock down 3 targets with the auto attack which is pretty good. I still havent gotten the bow so i cant test it myself. To the guy who said he got 12 of these bows.... FU!
