I'd go for one detailing the wandering, adventuring lifestyle of the Warden and Leliana post-main-campaign.

I also wouldn't mind a brave, sturdy warrior gal to play knight in shining armour to my mage's or rogue's damsel (I'm not sure whether Shale counts, but she's not available as a romance prospect anyway). Maybe it'll happen in Awakenings.

Well.. I would like to say my opinion as male...
I believe that romances today are one of the most important features in RPG and I am happy too see that developers give them high importance when they build the game.. because romances contribute to make the game more realistic than in past.
But I would say that not only romances are important but also relationships with other companions are very important...
I would like to know (just to give you an example) if you could imagine how "Lord of the Rings" would be without Aragorn/Arwin Romance or without the strong friendship beetween Gimli and Legolas. Will you think it would be the same? I don't think so...
In novels, fictions and movies love and friendship always played a great role. Today videogames may be even better than fictions or novels, and this thing would not happened without introducing emotional involvement of the characters...Yes, for sure game must not only be romances, because RPG is composed by many other things, but we need them for sure to improve game's beauty
I believe that the better way to play RPG is in identifying ourselves with our players.. Romances play a vital role in order to reach this goal.. so I hope in future we will always see more and more romances...
In my opinion (but you may also disagree with this because this is only my point of view) RPG without emotional involvement will not be RPG, but only arcade

Oh, that was truly beautiful; I could not agree with you more. I'm so glad to see other multi-faceted individuals who appreciate everything these games have to offer, and then some.

While I likke the romance aspect of the game--it gives more depth to the characters and interactions, I wouldn't want it to take over, and probably wouldn't buy such a DLC. I prefer adventure stories with elements of romance to romance stories with elements of adventure.

In the end, despite the draw of heroism and displays of bravado, what the human spirit craves is companionship and human contact.

....

Or something deep like that. :P

What about witches and bards gone wild? Little Morrigian/Liliana action...?..

Or romancing her in blue satin shoes?

Or even life after the wild witch uses you to further her own plans?

You were right this is fun and funny.

This deservers to be quoted. We have a lot of RPGs that focus on action and story development, but Dragon Age has a real focus on character development and character interaction. It's a bit different than what we are used to in a game but I think that is why it is so successful. It really draws us in. Regardless of the state of our real lives, sometimes we just want to know more about realistic people/characers. Like reading a really good book, not one of those cheesy and trashy romance novels.

I would love this so much.

Alistair is my newest video game character obsession. And I haven't had one of those in a long time. I wouldn't mind an entire GAME based on him.

@WilliamShatner: Yes I mean the movie... even if at the end of the book she appears to marry Elrund... This romance in the movies is obviously empashized due to fiction reasons, while friendship imho was more empashized in the book.... even if in movies is well-described too

@shantisands.. Yeah.. This is the truth !! You may be the greatest hero of the world but without someone on your side... well.. You will always feel that you are missing something,,,,

It's not about what you consider being a gaming experiance. If everyone
perceived it in the same way it would be a failure as a game, yes?

I doubt this will actually be a money maker despite what the OP thinks..

You're catering only to a very small aspect of fans, considering more guys play than girls and even then, you're catering only to a specific questline only people who want their characters to romance either Ali or Teagan will get anything out of it.

If Bioware actually do this, they'll be throwing a lot of money into the sea. This is less feasible than a Morrigan DLC, who atleast has more to expand on than either Ali or Tegan. Don't want to post spoilers but if you played to the end of the game you'd know what i mean.

Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but to each their own. A DLC that explored or expanded upon the interpersonal relationships of all the party members from romance to friendship would be a good touch though. Maybe give a bit more immersion into the game.

I believe Bioware should create a DLC dedicated solely to Romancing Alistair and Bann Teagan. I could definitely put in an additional 10-15 hours of gameplay with either one of them......... YUMMY.

I think it would be an absolute GOLDMINE for Bioware. Considering women spend hundreds-thousands of $$ just on non-responsive handbags. It would truly satisfy a large portion of female fans who feel a bit 'empty' and need some additional fantasy pixel-romance time.<3<3

The difference being a $200 handbag lasts a long time. The same can't be said of men. ;)

Oh wait, we're talking about pixels. My bad!

I told you! You've got to give me about fifteen minutes and then I'll be ready to go again, sheesh! ;)

As for the "romance" you can already do that with Allistar. And Bann Teagan? Seriously? I thought you ladies would like Loghain Mac Tir a lot more. I mean just look at the way he handles his second in command, Chris Brown anybody? ;)
