DA: Romance DLC?

Just
a point to ponder, this is a game and we are a community, why berate
someone who is looking for added content to the game we love. Does it hurt you if they ask for something you may or may not want?

Then, upon completion of the DLC, you have the option of unlocking some little "tryst" area or scenic getaway*.
Well, I would be all for that. This would not involve nearly as much coding/expense, etc., as a full-fledged romanceable companion character or romance-focused DLC, but it would give you something, and your own imagination could fill in the rest.
I actually thought the Dairren/Iona quest was quite clever and covered all the "various relationship" bases, but it just ended a bit too abruptly.
______
* Preferably with a storage chest, supply vendor some ways off, and the ability to form your party when you leave it. Heck, I'd probably never go to the regular Camp (or Warden's Keep) ever again.

In defense of the OP, if, for example, Bioware were to create a regular "non-romance" Warden's Keep-type standard adventure, but wherein, during the course of the adventure or completing a quest(s), you meet a romance option(s) (along the lines of the "Sweet Iona/Sweet Dairren" quest in the Human Noble origin (a quest that many people probably miss altogether, I imagine).

I DID miss that Quest; shame! I just think there is room for much more romance content/plot twists and dialogue in DAO to expand upon when you really think about it. It seems, along with the adventuring, combat and other fantastic elements of the game, the romances are VERY popular with fans. I believe It could truly be expanded upon, paired with other adventure content.

Yah, I missed it, too, till I was looking at romance options on a wiki. Kudos to Bioware for including this little "easter egg"-type quest: +10 <3 Approval. I just wish they had done a bit more with it than they did or had offered something comparable but more long-lasting later on in the game.
Strangely, I found these two characters more interesting/appealing than any of the actual romanceable companions -- or maybe it's just because I know mixing romance with work never ends well.
Perhaps, some clever modder will one day design something like what I've described: the "Love Shack" mod.

I believe Bioware should create a DLC dedicated solely to Romancing Alistair and Bann Teagan. I could definitely put in an additional 10-15 hours of gameplay with either one of them......... YUMMY.
I think it would be an absolute GOLDMINE for Bioware. Considering women spend hundreds-thousands of $$ just on non-responsive handbags. It would truly satisfy a large portion of female fans who feel a bit 'empty' and need some additional fantasy pixel-romance time.<3<3
Oh wait, we're talking about pixels. My bad!
Hey! We are not all complete jerks.
Anyhow this content would be perfect. Wynne could continue teaching Alistair the ways of love. Additionally everyone and yes everyone would go for the Romance with your dog. Do not lie, you all know you would!

Back on topic, I thought the romance options added to my DOA experience. Love and sex has been a huge part of fantasy since Malory, I'm not adverse to seeing more in future.

I like the interactions between characters and would applaud any mainstream or mod efforts to mix things up. Its all about choices.

I would love this so much.
Alistair is my newest video game character obsession. And I haven't had one of those in a long time. I wouldn't mind an entire GAME based on him.
Dreamy, isn't he?<3<3 I'm beginning to call my dog Oliver, Alistair in error.
You do know that Alistair leans more to his gender than the opposite; don't you?

Wait the beginning human noble romance options were hidden??? Man I must be plum ****ty then as I just tumbled some guy first five mins of playing a human. We were talking about literary options and it apparently became a bit more fact then fiction.

A lot of people go talk to Fergus immediately after speaking with Eleanor rather than back-tracking to the library. Me, I like talking to everybody (and still I manage to miss people sometimes), so I picked this one up my first time through, too. I was just pleasantly surprised to see how my HMN could get Dairren into bed.

Get a life honestly
Just becouse the OP likes the romance-part of the game and would like to see more in the future in form of DLC, she needs to get a life?
Your post is stupid and you need to grow up.
This is a goddamn VIDEO GAME!! It's about gaming for crying out loud!!
She wants to spend money and 10-15 hours just talking to her two imaginary friends and somehow it's ME who needs to grow up!!
Are you just scoring points with a random girl on the internet?? cos in that case you are the one who....
WHATEVER!!
UGH!!
I think you need to wake up and accept the fact that the average age for a gamer is now 28 and the demographic for women gamers has grown tremendously over the last 5 years.
We are not going anywhere either.

I for one would be very very happy if my wife would settle for a $20.00 DLC instead of some of the shoes and bags she buys.
