Hello everyone. It`s me again with my stupid questions. And here I have another one.

You see, I have a Radeon HD 4670 video card and from what I have read on the internet I realized that it does not support/render DX11, only DX10 and DX10.1. Is that true?

On the side note I have already installed DX 11, which was a pain in my neck, as it asked for Bet Framework 4.0.3, and managed to finally install it using the net softweare that came with the Borderlands Pre-sequel game.

So here is my question. Considering the fact that y VC does not render DX11, in other words does not ahve a DX 11 GPU, (for which I am wasting for confirmation from you guys), and ?DX 11 being installed, will I be able to run the game that require DX11 gpu video card to run or not? thank you.

It is true, yes.

I believe not. A graphics card will only use the DX version that comes with it regardless of whether you have a newer one installed-- meaning your PC is currently limited to DX10.

Having said that, I find it pretty hard to come across games that do not support both DX10 and DX11. Should always check, though!

Your card doesn't support DX11 even if you install it. Seeing as you're running a 4670 I'd suggest getting a new GPU.

I`ve tried games like Watch Dogs and Ryse and the both said gave the error "you need a DX 11 compatible GPU video card to run this programe" or something like that.

Figures. Two high-profile games I'm not particularly interested in, and they come to bite me.

You might as well buy a new card, if I'm honest, as Oxidized said.

Yeah you should just upgrade. You might be able to find some deals right now, though a month ago would have been the best time.

These are my top four choices. Two from each nvidia and AMD.

Titan Black I think is way strong for a gaming pc.

Well first off, you don't need a Titan. That card isn't a gaming card, it's more for 3D programs, from what I've gathered. Not really for gaming.

If your price range is really that high, I personally would go with a Radeon 290X or with an nVidia 970. Both are top-of-the-line cards that should last you a few years of the most intensive games--not necessarily on the highest settings, but pretty darn high.

I personally would recommend AMD, because I'm an ATI/Radeon fanboy, but really the nVidia might be better. It's a newer card and AMD has yet to come out with a true competitor.

Edit: Though the 290X has higher -bit memory, so I don't know.

First things first. What CPU do you have?

I will talk to my friend and see with which one I`ll go. I am too a fan of AMD. Mostly because its panel is easy to navigate.

I do know that I have to get a new CPU and I am also searching for a high performance CPU as well.

Oh and RAM too.

My curret CPU is Intel ®Core(TMI) Duo-Cpu e8400 3.0GHZ , 3.0GHZ

Note: I have been playing/using my current system for sisx years now.

Yeah, with a CPU like that you're wasting your money buying something like an R9 290X because you won't be able to utilise it's full potential. It doesn't help that a lot of recent releases don't support dual-cores anymore.

If you need a new CPU you're going to have to get a whole new motherboard, and you'll pretty much have to upgrade everything. Which isn't a bad thing, but something you should know.

A good CPU, the one I have actually, is an i5-3570k. It's four cores, clocked at 3.5 Ghz, but you can overclock it pretty high. Mine is overclocked to 4.2 Ghz.

However, if you have the extra cash, you might go with an i7 with more cores and/or hyperthreading. Those aren't important now, but they will likely be in a few years.

I have an AMD FX-6300. Don't get one. It's only good for budget video rendering.

I MUST change my GTS250 (a DX 10 video card) too, just like you. We can't play future games if we keep our graphic cards.

For example I can't play FIFA 15, Tropico 5 and Watch Dogs.

Titan/Titan Black are overprized, 780ti has only 3GB VRAM. buy a R9 290(X) or a GTX970.

Intel Xeon E3 1231v3. 4cores/8threads, 3,4GHz. no iGPU and not overclockable, but cheaper than any i7.

Any suggestion for high performance CPY, and therefore motherboard and RAM?

These are the ones I came across and think are good.

Intel Core i7-4790K Intel Core i7-5930K

And for mother board

asus z97 pro (sci-fi ac)

gigabyte z97x gaming gt

Z97-PRO WI-FI AC S1150 Z97 ATX ASRock EXTREME9 ATX DDR3 1333 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97 EXTREME9

And as for RAM

Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz

Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866MHZ

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz

If 780ti has only 3GB, there are cheap GTX 760 4GB video cards too, right?

4GB is useless on a 760.

for the 5930K you need a X99 MB, and a hexacore is overkill for gaming. right now the 4790K is the fastest CPU at default settings. if you dont want to overclock you should take a look on the Xeon i mentioned earlier (+ H97 MB).

Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz

Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866MHZ

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz

dont buy RAM with useless heatspreaders which collide with CPU-coolers.

I'm sorry, I haven't really been up to date on motherboards or RAM. However, your motherboard is based off of what CPU you want to get, so you'll need to decide that first.

From what I'm reading, the i7-4790 is fine: http://www.tomshardw...790k-5930k.html

Thus, you'll want a motherboard that has this chipset. LDA 1150. I personally have gone with both Gigabyte and MSI, and they've worked fine for me, but I can't say anything bad about the others like Asus.

With a motherboard, it's really hard to go wrong I think, just make sure that it has a PCI-Express 3.0 slot and enough RAM slots (4). Outside of that I couldn't really give any good recommendations.

And when it comes to RAM, Corsair is definitely a good brand. As far as the speed you want, I'm coming across conflicting statements. Basically, if you can get the 2400 for nearly the same price as the 1600, go for it, or if you don't mind paying more, go for it. But I don't think it makes too much of a difference.

My GTS 250 has 1 GB. I think 760 is fast enough to do 4GB good enough. Care to explain?

i wouldnt buy the 4790 non-K, because it really has only a 200MHz higher clock than the Xeon E3 1231v3 and an iGPU, which you dont really need in a gaming-PC. -> Xeon E3 1231v3 or i7 4790K.

H97 chipset if you dont want to overclock, Z97 chipset if you want to overclock

once again, just make sure the RAM doesnt have useless heatspreaders.

and in how many games you really need this 1 GB?
the GTX760 is too slow to use 4GB of VRAM in playable settings. imo 3GB would be "perfect" on this card, but it has a 256bit memory-interface, so there are no versions with 3GB.
