i wouldnt buy the 4790 non-K, because it really has only a 200MHz higher clock than the Xeon E3 1231v3 and an iGPU, which you dont really need in a gaming-PC. -> Xeon E3 1231v3 or i7 4790K.
H97 chipset if you dont want to overclock, Z97 chipset if you want to overclock
once again, just make sure the RAM doesnt have useless heatspreaders.
You're right, I should have said "k."
And I didn't know about the H/Z difference (or the heatspreaders for that matter).
