I am at the point where I need to pick a specialization, but I am not sure which way I should go. I do know that my main character is a mage and I would like to keep his talents in the spirit tree to be able to throw up a barrier spell on every cooldown. I would preferr not to have another mage because I like my party set up with tank, warr dps, rogue dps, and mage support/dps.
Which spec would be the best for a mage who is throwing up a barrier on the party every cd.
Rift Mage.
You can apply the weakness debuff, which cuts up to 30% damage off of the enemies. That is a lot! You also gain a lot of mana, so you can cast more spells. To top it off, you got a lot of CC to set up party combos. Pull of the Abyss pulls everything close, Frost mine to freeze them all and have your rogue and tank shatter them all. You can also knock down and otherwise control the enemy team.
