Whoa whoa whoa...there are 30 high dragons in Dragon Age: Inquisition?!

I never said there were 30 dragons in the game. I posted that with ALL playthroughs COMBINED, I killed 30 dragons

 

There are ten free roaming, and one alternate for the main quest, themikefest has done 3 playthroughs.  I'm on my third one now, so I'm technically at 24 dragons.  I only count coryphyfish's dragon as 1/2 a dragon, personally ;P

You don't need DPS. You need guard breaking abilities. The KE with spirit blade is amazing for it and the S&S warrior with shield smash is OK.

 

 

Just OK?  Pfft, with Ring the Bell Shield Bash and 100 Str I can one shot Highland Ravager's Guard on nightmare.

I've taken down six.  The Storm Coast dragon destroyed me the first time I found it.  Went back six or seven levels higher with a gameplan and gave it a fight, but he still killed my party.  Got it down to about 10% health the second go around though.

 

Haven't been able to find the one in Crestwood yet.

It's on the Eastern part of the map IIRC

Have one left in Emprise Du Lion, the one on the Storm Coast, and the one in the Hissing Wastes.  I should be able to take them all, just haven't got around to it yet.

Killed all 12 in my first playthrough and 4 on my Nightmare run because I wanted to finish it as soon as possible. Now I'm on my 3rd playthrough and I'm working on killing all 12 again. So far I killed 5.

i conquered the dragons on my first play-through, but the game deemed me unworthy of receiving the trophy

I know for certain that I've now killed 8, and I know exactly where the last two are, but the game says I've gotten seven.  Oh well.  Not too interested in trophies or notching off a quest from the list.  The XP and loot was what I was after, along with the self satisfaction.

I've killed only 5 so far, but I plan on getting them all. Mostly for the loot, but also for the achievement. My goal is to get all achievements on my first playthrough other than the hard/nightmare ones. Those two are "maybe's" for later playthroughs once I'm more familiar with the game.

7. I'll take on the remaining three I'd guess, but I've started a new char so we'll see. It's fun fights - well, when you don't get completely spanked by them as I did the first two times I tried.

Only six of the High Dragons thus far, plus the Red Lyrium Dragon included in the MQ. Am having some difficulty with the last one near Orlais, and the Storm Coast tree stomper has been surprisingly durable. The two out near the Western edges still have yet to be tested.

You must be playing on one of the hardest settings, right?  My fights usually take 10-15 minutes on normal, one way or another.

Only killed one in my first playthrough.   Going for completionist this time around so will find them all.

 Same here. At the risk of steering this thread into the 'technical support' forum, it's a known bug. Some players have been able to fix it by reloading a saved game just before the last dragon and killed it again. I haven't tried it myself. *shrug*

So far I have killed five..but sadly my game glitched out. The short version of the story is I killed five dragons through my first character but then had to delete his save file because of a major glitch. After I booted up my new character I repeated the same process I'd went through before and I was rewarded with the achievement for killing all 10 high dragons..which kind of ruined the dragon hunting mood.

Does it say you are missing one under the Dragon Hunter quest/collection thing in your journal, or are you missing one under achievements?  Because for some reason one or more of the dragons don't count for the achievement, even if you've completed the Dragon Hunter Quest in game, and you will only get the cheevo on a second playthrough. 

 

Otherwise, here are the locations:

 

Hinterlands has one.

Crestwood has one.

Exalted Plains has one.

Western Approach has one.

Emerald Graves has one.

Hissing wastes has one. 

Storm Coast has one.

Emprise du Lion has three. 

Hinterlands, Crestwood, Emerald Graves, and Storm Coast I can scratch off my list. I can't recall if I took down the one on the Exalted Plains. Fact, I'm trying to recall if I even saw it (probably). Been busy, so I haven't even finished the game yet. Which, for me, by this point is mind bottling.

Slow, but surely, wins the race. Plus finishes all the side quests. = P

Is there any hope it will be fixed in a future patch ? 

I just killed the 10 dragons, the journal told me so, but as you, the trophy did not show up.

And the worst is that the previous save before finishing this quest is ~ 1.5hour before.

So it means I need to re-slay the 3 Dragons in EdL

I think the bug is fixed now for the achievement.

 

I did not get it after killing all ten high dragons in my first playthrough but after killing my first one in my second playthrough, it popped up.

Not sure when I will do another playthrough but there's hope apparently that it pops up one day ... one day

None. It's too brutal for me. And I feel like an *******. The only one you actually hear about attacking people in near crestwood and it only starts doing that after you flood its habitat.
