Anyone know what armor this grey warden is wearing, and where to get it?

Looks like the generic Grey Warden armor... Don't know if I had one exactly like it, but similar ones have been a dime a dozen. Found several suits, and I wanna say the vendor in Val Royeaux sells a schematic?

...what is the armor on the PC with the greatsword? That one looks cool and I don't recall seeing anything like it.

Heavy Grey Warden armour by the looks of it. In addition to the schematics you can also get a few copies of it at various level of strength from locked hut in Hinterlands, and at least a couple of the dragons (these dragons will eat anything)

Thanks everyone. Been dying to get some decent looking heavy armor. All I find is the same stupid coat schematics and the armor that always looks like that tinfoil set you get when you first reach haven. I like the look of the long coat but I want to change it up for some decent looking plate armor. How do I get to the area you mentioned; is it a war table deal?

Another issue I'm having is not knowing which areas I'm supposed to be progressing to. I am level 12 and have reached Skyhold and opened storm coast and crest wood. But, I still have quests in the hinterlands. And, it seems I need some serious power to open up other areas; power which I can't seem to earn fast at all.

Oh and yeah that's the flames of the inquisitor armor that my character is wearing. It's not the greatest but I'm using it for the looks; since as I said above, I can't find any nice looking heavy armor.

Spoiler

The placement of the schematic is hilarious. It should be in an actual armory or given to the player by a Grey Warden themselves.

Mind you, many schematic placements don't make sense in the game.

My character is 107 hours in the game and is still wearing flames of the inquisition armor. I just keep forging better versions of it.

The Hissing Wastes and Emprise du Lion are for level 15+ roughly. All the other zones you can do earlier, they're roughly the same level and the enemies will scale to match you. Just move between them as you please/feel like it, to do quests which sound interesting to you.

You can gain lot of power fast simply closing the rifts -- each of them gains you 2-3 power points.

I think I've seen them in the Hissing Wastes in the merchant's inventory.

Yup. Close rifts, claim areas and set up camps. Basically explore and conquer and you won't lack for Power.

I think that's where I got the Battlemaster Armor Arms and Legs schematics, but not the Coat version.

Ah. According to this you only get them from random tier three chests. :(

I'm at the dalish camp in exalted plains but there's no merchant here. It's the one near ancient baths, along the river. Is this correct? Do you need to do all of their quests before a merchant is available, or am I in the wrong place.

Finally got it! Going back to hinterlands or storm coast now though. These enemies are destroying me lol.
