Hello there!

I'd like to ask someone wiser than me if it is possible to import end-game WH saves into Awakening. Personaly, I'd like to do a semi-canon playthrough with regards to the books, as known from David Gaider (GW as male/ dalish /no romance/ king Alistair and so on...) but with the change that he didn't actually died fighting Archdemon, but saved himself by Dark Ritual only to went missing a few months after coronation to start searching for Morrigan immediately.

In order to mimic this, I'd like to import my end-game save in Witch Hunt and end the WH with Warden going through the Eluvian with Morrigan (or dying? Not sure he can die in front of Eluvian, but whatever), and load this save to Awakening to play it with Orlesian Warden as apparent in the book canon.

Does anyone know if this is by any means possible? Lore-wise, it is just fine since we know from DA:O epilogue, that the Warden vanishes basically no matter what, and even though Awakening takes place only months after DA:O and at least a year BEFORE Witch Hunt, there is no need to asume that the Warden did ever set foot in Amaranthine after his disappearance.

You can only import DAO->DAA->Golems of Amgarrak->Witch Hunt

Thanks. And I assume that if GW didn't die at the end of DA:O, it's always him who travels to Amaranthine, right?

Yes, although I remember a thread discussing the steps necessary to force an import of an US Warden, that would only allow you to play Awakening/Golems/Witch Hunt as the Orlasion Warden while keeping your Canon World State.

Thanks. But I am just a bit cofused - does that mean that if my GW dies at the talons of Archdemon, that save can not be imported and I can't proceed playing as Orlesian Warden, just keeping my choices?

Well, without Mods what happens is even worse ... your save will be imported, but your Warden is Retconned into still being alive and you play Awakening as the Hero of Fereldan. (I'm not sure if it actually changes the "Dark Ritual Plot Flag" or not.)
