I am totally on board with this theory though after reading the whole thread, I believe that there is a nuance that some people make that I think is important. It is too simplist to say directly that Sera = Andruil the same way Solas is Fen’Harel. She might be just a Vessel for the whisp of what remains of the Goddess.
I am not quite sure of my knowledge of the elven lore in Dragon Age, but I don't think Fen’Harel was ever destroyed, killed, assassinated, banned into the fade or so opposed to his fellow elven gods. This could explain why Mythral is just a small remain that Flemeth nurtured while Fen’Harel is Solas somehow.
Cole called Sera a "quiver in a quiver" and what is a quiver but a container (I don't know if things were explained like that here). Maybe that's the nuance they could play with to avoid the "we have 2 elf gods among us plot twist'... I believe it's different and it could also explain why Sera is still Sera. Nothing change in the core of who she is though some of her reactions might be the direct result of what she carries.

I think this idea is ultimately in the same realm as Indoctrination Theory. If you think about it for a while, it seems to make sense, but if you think about it logically, its just a case of overthinking everything.

No idea if it's been mentioned yet, not gonna read through ALL 5 pages, but there's another tidbit as to why Sera wouldn't know if she was Andruil, or even just a mage.
there's a party banter instance where if you are romancing Solas, Sera will bring up the conversation as 'interesting'. When Sera makes a few rude comments about how an elf will always go for an elf, the inquisitor can tell her to stop it. To which Solas replies:
"Do not trouble yourself, Vehnan, she is...apart from herself."
Pretty odd thing to say, I think. Could be similar to how the Archivist from Trespasser was 'sundered' from herself. Where Sera's Body is either constantly reincarnated, simply lives on and her mind 'resets' and her mind is still in the fade? I don't know about all that, but still, it's an interesting thing for Solas to say.

I feel like if she were Andruil, Solas would have shown waaaaaay more contempt towards her. And he certainly wouldn't think she is no longer what she should be, unless he means "trapper forever in torment" by that.

I don't know, he seems to actually show some regret over what he did. He might, at this point, prefer what the Evanuris were as opposed to what the world became without them.
As stated by Solas himself, he pities Sera more than anything else, as she is "the furthest from what she was intended to be"-(from party banter)
Sera states in the fade that she recognizes it and that everything there 'happened before' (if Solas is in the party, he asks how she's feeling and that's how she responds)
Frankly, Sera's story seems too generic for me, too empty, which means she's hiding something...except for the parts about the lady that took her in and mothered her. If anything, i think there is something up with Sera's past we didn't get told here, but whether she's Andruil or not, frankly if she turns out to be, i'd be annoyed by it. Kind of poor story telling to have it be 'Oh yeah, the elven gods were actually just mages, and look! 2 of them show up in the same group for some reason! yay!'
unless of course Sera was drawn to the inquisition BECAUSE of her pull to the breach and the fade. It may not be that Sera is actually lying about anything, she may just not remember anything after her Uthenera (if she ever entered one, maybe the Evanuris, being the most powerful, were still somehow immortal even without the Fade)
Edit: also, am i the only one wondering if humans were possibly spirits before the veil was risen? Or perhaps elves just eventually devolved/evolved into them?
not sure about the humans one, but i'm pretty sure Qunari are related to elves and anciently mixed in some dragon...and i base this because pointy ears=elves and horns=dragons #caseclosed.

Solas regrets what he did to the ancient elves, but he still feels nothing but hatred for the Evanruis.

Oh man... I'm really starting to like this idea, and its probably not true.
Thats a hell of a lot of coincidences though.
I came into this thread a skeptic, but I always hold true to a simple rule.
One or two coincidences I can buy as simply coincidences. If there are three or more then there are too many coincidences to be a coincidence. Then it becomes a pattern.

Why can't Sera be Andruil, the game wasn't lessened by having Solas as Fen'Harel and Flemeth as Mythal. To say fans cannot accept more than one special snowflake in DA is ridiculous, we've had the warden, CoK and now the Inquisitor, and DA4 will introduce a fourth as yet unknown special snowflake and people are freaking about oh no Sera is probably Andruil; Personally after playing all games and hearing Sandals prophecy, (you know the one about everything returning!) I would like to see the Evanuris return and discover -shock, horror Sandal is June!

Am i the only one thinking that the story would be better if they had just focused on the dark spawn and corypheus rather than going into all this elf god stuff? This seems to be a trend in games recently (namely the latest halo games in this instance) where all the cool mystery aspects of the story are just being flat out exposed. Like what Flemeth really is, if the elf gods really existed, next they'll give us a detailed diagram of broodmother breeding habits. I love hints and tricks to try and poke out the mysteries for people who can find them, like what they did with solas and flemeth until the epilogue where he just comes out 'yup, i'm fen'harel, this b**ch here is flemeth, and i made the veil.'
Like i said, i love the little hints where we can eventually puzzle it out on our own, that's glorious and fun, but just being flat out told? Am i the only one to find that terribly boring?
What i mean by this is the story would focus on Cory a bit more, and we would be getting tiny little hints about the elven stuff going on in the background, which they did very well until, again, that damned epilogue. (and the whole part of flemeth being all revealing and junk with morrigan) what would have been cool there is if morrigan had drunk from the well, flemeth (but like in disguise like the silhouette of light that the Divine became in HLtA) Morrigan could have recognized her, started saying something, then the light-silhouette would have raised its hand to stop her from saying her actual name.
I just don't like it when the best bits of mystery are just unceremoniously ripped away :/

Origins came out in 2009. People have been speculating about the mystery of Flemeth for five years, and still are. Ever since Origins, people have been debating whether Flemeth is andraste (still a mystery that has been unresolved).
It wouldn't be right for developer to play hide-the-ball forever. Old mysteries get resolved and new ones are developed.
As for Sera/Andruil, I think the developers are just trolling the players.

That's my point, though. It's good to reveal mysteries eventually, but not just by saying everything outright. Another way, then. Flemeth could reveal herself as Mythal, and we could be left to speculate about the rest...i just hate how unceremonious it felt, like we waited 3 games to learn about Flemeth, then Solas just walks up 'yo, i'm fen'harel, the elven gods exist, let's fu** up the veil, yeah?'

I support the idea that she carries Andruil's wisp but unknowingly. That's why she just keeps fearing "The Nothing" aka The Void.

I didn't read whole thread, just OP, so whatever. I really like the idea. Especially that part:
“Andruil is the elven Goddess of the Hunt, creator of the Vir Tanadahl or Way of Three Trees. First, the Vir Assan, or Way of the Arrow: fly straight and do not waver. Second, the Vir Bor'assan, or Way of the Bow: bend but never break. Third, the Vir Adahlen, or Way of the Forest: together we are stronger than the one.”
For me, it matches her personality and whole Red Jennies stuff. She's definetely not wavering. She and "people people" are not to be broken, they may bend to nobility (or whoever else), but not break. And the last part - together they are stronger. That is the whole point of Friends of Red Jenny. Being together, united, stronger, against oppressors.
The other things - she's just hiding her true identity. Solas may know who she is or might be, but she's more clever. She act like she doesn't know elven language or history. I think she really, actually despise "new" elves, because of what did happen before she awoke.
Again, I really really like this theory. Good job ![]()

The connections are obviously intentional. However, I do have a serious question to the adherents of this theory and that is -- how do you know the developers aren't trolling you? And in this regard, I have the following observations.
1. Sera is all about trolling people.
2. The tarot card post imitating Andruil's shows up after you have done pranks.
3. In JoH, when Kenric stumbles in reciting the name of Ghilan'nain, Sera says "I know things. Ghilan'nain. Ghilan'nain, arse."
