Hi guys and gals -

 

I'm lvl 17 DW rogue.

 

I need some help with gearing my rogue. I've been using the same armor for a while. I've crafted some stuff, but I think I might be missing something.

 

My daggers: 316 DPS, 117 AoE, plus stats

Armor: 158, 14% ranged defense

 

Where can I find the best daggers in the game? I have one item left that gives me a 10% chance to use hidden blades on hit. Don't want to waste it unless I'm using best dagger. (Unless someone knows where I can get more of these)

 

Where do I get schemes for rogue? Any adivce, input would be apprecitated.

You'll find lots of good stuff in the Hissing Wastes, including the schematic for the Tier 3 Masterwork Dual Curved Blade, for example, which is in the Burial Grounds Tomb in the SW corner. Those are the best I've found anyway. The Wiki has a good guide on where to find schematics.

one of the best ones is on the vendor @ skyhold. another is from the hissing wastes dwarf paragon chamber room. i crafted a BA tier3 dragon bone dagger for Cole also. i have those 3 so i need to do some stat weighing to see which ones are better. 

 

one of the dragons in emprise de lion drops a good masterwork medium armor with dex, melee def, and stam reduction on skills. tier 3 schematics are all bough from a vendor in hissing wastes.

For armor, I recommend getting the 'Short List' Perk and buying the T3 Superior Battlemaster Armor Schematic (IIRC about 16,000 gold) from the Mabari Vendor in the Hissing Wastes.  You could also try your RNG luck and farm chests / containers to see if you get the T3 Superior Battlemaster Coat / Superior Battlemaster Mail in a chest / container.  In order for your Rogue to be able to equip the Superior Battlemaster Armor (or Coat / Mail), you need to craft the armor using Silverite.  Silverite removes the Class restriction.  Silverite can be found in abundance in Emprise Du Lion.  Crafting a Heavy Armor using Silverite will allow a Rogue (or a Mage) to equip it.  Also, I would recommend using one of the materials (Fade Touched Silverite or Fade Touched Obsidian) that grants guard on hit.  Normally, a Rogue (or Mage) cannot generate guard.  Using one of those materials allows them to generate guard.  So, in addition to the normal health bar, your Rogue could potentially have barrier (cast by a Mage) and guard (bonus from crafted armor).  For Daggers, the T3 Masterwork Dual Curved Blade (netram mentioned above), is probably the best.  I crafted one that has 401 DPS but didn't use Dragon materials in the crafting.  I am waiting to kill more of the Dragons before I start to use Dragon materials in crafting.
