Bring back the Warden (in DLC) as a protagonist - Should be the easiest decision in Bioware history!

It would be very very difficult for bioware to write the wardens personality. Better for all of us to take controll over that character

Unless the DLC is entitled:  DA: Kingmaker - and my Warden cures the Calling, returns to his Throne, strengthens Ferelden and marches on Orlais or the Free Marches with his son Kieran Cousland (the non-filthy Old God variety) at his side - I'm not interested.

I'd happily pay money for a separate campaign dlc like Leliana's Song with the Warden-Commander (HoF or not) as a protagonist, but I'm mainly just afraid of them appearing as an NPC and --like Hawke-- being absolutely nothing like I played them; the letter we get from them was neutral enough but as soon as they appear on-screen and start talking about current events they start being disappointing one way or another.

Only if the decision wheel for that option reads;

"Assuming Direct Control"

I would love to see my warden again but I really don't see how that can happen. Didn't the devs say we would get dlc about our warden? I remember reading that somewhere, the warden wouldn't be in the quest but you would be doing something for them, probably with a previous origins companion or something. Idk I could be wrong but I do remember hearing something about that along those lines.

All in all it would be super freakin awesome if we saw our wardens again but if not, I'll get over it. It was nice to see Hawke again tho, at least we got that lol...even tho they potentially die but eh it is what it is.

Preferably the Warden from Dragon Age Origins would be ideal but if not them someone would have to solve the calling issue regardless. Nothing to do with the blight or anything I wouldn't want a repeat of that like as you say. Maybe it will never happen but, no harm in trying eh?

Yes, as it was done before. It would be a nice DLC either way, a Warden looking for the cure of the calling or the Warden from Origins.

And let's not forget that we have the DA Keep these days. The player could just change the fate of a sacrificed Warden with a few clicks, if they prefer that way.

It would be a win win to do this DLC imo. After all, they will release those and they should at least consider using such an important IP they have, instead of just wasting it because of... nothing?

I, for one, am patiently waiting for BioWare to stop putting the Warden and Leliana into games so I can safely write fanfiction again. I care about the characters far too much to want to see them in future Dragon Age games.

We all know the male Warden will be voiced by Troy Baker
