I did have a romance with Ashley in ME1 but when I met with her in ME2 I was disappointed.
Tali is so nice and loveable but I'm a loyal person. I have not played with the ME3 yet so I don't really know what is going to happen.
Does it worth it if I'm loyal?

You get personal satisfaction of staying loyal to Ash; either character is a good option - it's your decision.

Generally, I would say that Tali's romance content in ME3 is superior. This is mainly because Tali has content during two missions that she is scripted to accompany you on. Ashley only has one mission where she guaranteed to be a squad mate and if you didn't like the way she treated you on Horizon, you won't like the way she treats you on that mission either. Tali will also have a nice gift for you in ME3 is you stick with her.

If you start a romance with Tali in ME2, Ash is surprisingly okay with it in ME3 (she is most definitely not okay with it if you're with Miranda or Jack).  You also have the option of either continuing with Tali, or re-kindling your relationship with Ash.  I've done romances with both (never "cheating" though, always staying true to whomever it was), and I found both romances were alright, but a bit short on romance-specific content.

Oh, and for some reason Ash starts calling you "hero-man" instead of "skipper", which made me cringe a little.

The way I see it, SHE walked away from YOU on Horizon. You don't owe her any loyalty if that's how she's going to treat your love. Considering all you've been through in ME1 (I admit Ash was the best romance option in the first game) but considering all you've been through together, for there to continue to be this much distrust and borderline hostility between her and Shepard is ridiculous. <_<

Look at interactions on Horizon. She all but calls you a damn traitor; and that's after you save her life. It's not like it even gets better after that.

  • Your first real mission in ME3 she still think's you're with Cerberus, and thinks you have some sort of implanted husk tech in you.
  • Look at the Citadel coup, where she pulls a damn gun on you in an armed standoff that requires quite a bit of gameplay to resolve without killing her.

(Just my opinion) I just think her romance is waaaaay too one-sided. You'd be better off with Tali who will reciprocate the love and respect. Shepard has to do a lot of sucking up to Ashley without so much as a "Thank you" for saving her life, (on Horizon OR Mars, OR the Citadel) not to mention that Shep also has to do that sucking up without a single apology for 2nd guessing him the whole time.

Compare this to Tali. When you met her on Freedom's Progress, she had a reasonable distrust and weariness of your new Cerberus ties, but also recognizes that after all that you did in ME1, you wouldn't be working with them without a darn good reason. I would say choose Tali, but that's just my opinion. If you're happy with Ashley after how she has treated you, more power to you.  :)

Tali. Never romanced her but Ashley is a bit of a ******. She basically tells you to go **** yourself in ME2, then starts lecturing you if you romance someone else. Glad I dumped her for Miranda and got the satisfaction of... oops that was nearly a spoiler.

Thanks for all the answers! I decided to stay loyal to Ash. Maybe in another playthrough I will choose Tali or Liara.

Good choice. Bets thing about new playthroughs is exploring new romance options. You should also try a different class and gender.

My Shepard romanced Williams in all 5 playthroughs of the trilogy. I can't believe how blind I was to Liara, my kind blue friend who had always been there for me unlike racist Williams. But now I'm rectifying that mistake. Jokes aside, romancing Williams in the base Mass Effect 3 game is great the first time around. But apparently, there is a big scene that was cut out. My Shepard only romanced Tali once and I do have to agree that her character hints indirectly that she wants Shepard, especially during her recruit mission.

Since you haven't romanced Tali in the second game, I see ZERO reason to break up with Williams as it just makes no sense. The way I see it, you should stay loyal to anyone you romance from the very first game because you get unique dialogue, albeit cheesy with Williams.

I definitely will! Especially because I haven't played any DLC...

Spoler: ... but after that ending in the ME3... I felt it doesn't matter at all who are you going to have a romance with, Of course you won't know before the ending, but when I play through again the trilogy it always will be in my head. And it makes me feel like ****.

Both Kaidan and Ashley wouldn't listen to reason even if you had Garrus, Grunt, and/or Mordin with you on Horizon.  They both say, Garrus, you too? or something along those lines.  They were too fixated on Cerberus to see there were aliens working with Shepard and one of them was Garrus.  Someone they should trust besides Shepard.

I can't stand to have Ashley aboard the Normandy in ME3 and I did her romance in ME3 after being with her in ME1 and Jack in ME2.  Jack's reaction to breaking it off is what I'd expect from Jack.  But I felt Shepard was kissing Ash's ass too much.  The woman only talked about her family and nothing about her hissy fit on Horizon.

Where Kaidan admitted right away Horizon was on him and through out ME3, he tried to see that the people in Cerberus were good people wanting to do the right thing.

Go with Tali and stay with Tali.  That romance is totally worth it.  If you do, take James with you when you got to the geth dreadnought. Great banter.   ;)

I don't think that the loyal game works here. I mean - it's pretty clear that she moved on and it wouldn't be wrong for you to move on as well. If Tali is winning your heart, then go for it, go for the one that makes your Shepard happy.

I did go with Tali when I played the first time ME2, so that is why I stayed with Ash.
But still, thanks for the answers even after I made my decision like 2 weeks ago.

If you're on PC, try MEHEM.

I came close to cheating on Ash with Miranda in ME2. Then I remembered how Ash cancelled Wrex and I blew off Miranda. What Ash did to Wrex in ME1 was indeed a turn on for Skipper. Ashley>every other game girl besides the one in my avatar.

I'm also conflicted about romance, however I can't decide between Liara or Traynor. I'm nearing the LOTSB run and I don't know if I should break things of with Liara or not. I guess it would feel more natural to stay friends with Liara if I just not pursue romantic relationship after the first game rather than your situation where you actually have to cheat on your previous LI, but it is still a very hard decision :(

This would likely be because she doesn't really know Jack or Miranda (the "not okay part)

one's a Cerberus Officer and the other is an escaped convict

I played through the trilogy as a femshep myself

I always romance Tali, but on my new trilogy playthrough I killed Ashley, because Kaidan is actually a pretty decent guy.
