We already know it is possible to make a NPC speak strings of text, but what about making it speak strings of text that may change to what we want it to say?

To elaborate on what I am looking to work on, is a NPC that will be speaking strings of text that a Dungeon Master, through a custom tool, may want this npc to say.

Let's say we have a certain server session and then we got this NPC that wants to speak about the days' temperature, and a Dungeon Master would like to, somehow, configure the description of the weather to what he wants the npc to speak out.

Is it somehow possible at all? For a NPC to be scripted in a way that it repeats sequences of text we give it? Perhaps some sort of recording device that can be always configured in-game?

In good english I want to know if there's a way to make a npc speak dynamic strings that we make up on the spot for it.

it sounds like you're looking for Custom Tokens, and then perhaps adding a repeat function (HB or pseudo-HB)

with tokens you can do things like generate the daytime temperature, store it as a custom token, then have the crier say

"Today's temperature is <customtoken10001> !"

( i don't have the syntax right but there's the idea ) The token-strings can be much longer, ofc.

What happens when you replace a campaign conversation on the fly mid-game? If they are reloaded each time you change modules then that might be a technique that could work.
