The question is a "what if" question, I am aware this has almost 0% chance of happening.
I would like this because it would give MENext extra dev time to be the best it could be while lettig us play ME1, 2, & 3 to get a save we could carry straight.

I would also like the remastered Trilogy to come out before, it would bring back some attention to the series and could bring new people in.
About save file transfer.

Read it before, good read. This would just give 2(3 with a comic like in 2 & 3) ways of carrying over our ME universe.
It would best for it to come out before to refresh our memories and love for the series, but to also bring in new fans before the next instalment. Basically, exactly what 343i did with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Well, duuh. I'd love to play the remastered edition and then jump into ME4
only when they'd incorporate a MEHEM + Citatel Epilogue Mod into the remastered version,
basically an option to let the Geth+EDI survive the Destroy ending, and allow the Citatel DLC
to be played after the end. The Citatel Epilogue mod changes some dialogue, so there's no
talk about fighting the reapers etc, the perfect end.
otherwise I could care less about a remaster.

Aren't mods a PC only thing? If that is the case then the only ME that needs a touch-up. Meaning they could just sell it alone, couldn't they?
I hope they do if for no other reason than to finally rid ME3 of the online requirement. Was just trying to boot that game up but the servers are down and I realized that EA is eventually going to discontinue online services for that game and after almost three years, it's going to be sooner rather than later.

Absolutely, given the DLC would be included. If they wanted to throw in the option of carrying the ME2 squad through Priority: Earth (they've got the resources ready via the Citadel DLC) or add a few cinematics that better showcase war asset variation, I'd welcome it. But I'm down regardless.
including the ME2 squadmates in Priority Earth and showing our war assets with cinematics would be great but I think it would cost too much they would have to bring the voice actors back so I really doubt Bioware is going to do something like that as much as I would like it
they already had the option with the EC or even with the Citadel dlc but they didn't do it
I have no ineterest in a remaster version so nope.
As a full and total package being ME1+2+3 and all dlc remastered and able to play in one seamless go.
I would buy in a heartbeat.

Its been brought up many times before, expect only updated textures, bug fixes and all the DLC, anything more is just asking for disappointed (especially if its ending related content).
It usually takes quite some time before "HD" / "Remaster" editions of games (or series) come out.
ME3 is not even 3 years-old yet (will be in March next year).
I guess that they could do it for the first one though, that one is not exactly aging well (in my opinion anyway).
And it's probably a lot of work to do that, much more than most of us would think I'm sure. It's not as simple as just making higher resolution textures. They'd need to create better models (more polygons), readjust facial animations during dialogue (probably), add visual / particle effects, reflections, new light + shadow effects, etc. Maybe they'd even add one or two new locations to the Citadel or something, maybe a few extra lines of dialogue here and there that didn't make it in time for the release, etc. It would take them years to do it just for the first ME. I can barely imagine the amount of work needed to do it for ME2 and ME3 which are both considerably bigger than ME1 (in pretty much all aspects).
Not saying it's not possible, but it would take them years and a LOT of money... not sure if EA wants that, because at this point I doubt that people would just jump on "Mass Effect HD" mindlessly yelling "shut up and take my money" as much as it happened for the recent Halo Remaster (Master Chief Collection) or the tweaked GTA5. It might take more convincing than even EA would imagine (maybe they'd think that doing that would automatically mean a success but I'm sure they could be surprised). Unfortunately a lot of people including "fans" simply moved on and forgot about the ME franchise. I don't want to sound melodramatic, but it's true. Then again I'm surely wrong because of course what we've read on the forums only represents a very small minority, we all know that don't we.
Anyway... I for one would certainly want a remake (in HD) of the first ME. Not sure about ME2 and ME3 though, I think they're graphically-fine the way they are still.

I think a seamless experience is definitely what they are aiming for if a remastered edition actually happens
Aaryn Flynn talked about it in a post
would really like that play through the Trilogy and treating it as one big game but they would have to add some cutscenes

If they do release a trilogy remaster, I prefer for them to take the time they need and add in the cut content.
My only request is that they make Legion available earlier in ME2, so we can actually see the scenes with him in levels before the Reaper IFF without having to screw with the save files.
Finally I'll be able to refer to all 3 games when someone asks me what my favourite video game is.

same here all three games together are my favourite game too and I think they should be viewed as one

I don't think any of the cut content will be added (although it would be neat) it'll just be what was given to us on release plus the DLC.
As long as it came with all the DLC I'd be down for it ![]()
Yeah definitely before the next ME game, so we can get a refresher for the series lore etc. Really hope they do this on next gen soon ![]()
I hope they release the remastered trilogy about 5-6 months before Mass Effect 4 so I can start playing ME4 right after the trilogy. It usually takes me 5-6 months to play the trilogy.
