I got this game for x-mas, I have a computer that can run this game beautifully I was super excited, I realize launches can be rocky but you know this has been out for a few months. No real reason to worry about game breaking issues/ bugs right? Wrong.

First full-screen doesn't work, but w/e my computer is good enough to run DA I with the windowed full screen without problems. But then, I encountered a problem.

I reached the hinterlands and I realized my character screen was still locked. And I was competently unable to level up my character.

So my feedback to bioware is simple - Please patch your game so your players can actually play it... This is beyond Ridiculous. It has been well over a month since release, a thread has been in your support forums for just as long, There have been threads on every major forum that i have seen about both of these issues.

Do better.

This kinda of lazy workmanship disgust me. Last time I buy/ask for a bioware game.

First DA 2 then Mass Effect 3 now DA I where leveling up your character isnt actually possible.

11/10 best demo ever.

Not even close.....

Lab that gave me a clear bill of health on my recent biopsy issued a correction just before Christmas stating I have Cancer; Hodgkin's Lymphoma to be more exact. So this coming year will see chemo treatments on top of my other current health issues, but there is no pain, so others have it much worse.

On the brighter side, my game is running pretty well; no major bugs, and only minor glitches. Have over 350 hrs in two on-going campaigns, and some hours occupied by visiting family.

Hope you have a Happy New Year with some new perspective.

Posting system specs would be a help. I run the game with not a single issue.

OMG, just...wow. I don't even know what to say. I went through a scare a couple years ago when they thought I had Leukemia just because I had a slightly high white count...I went through all sorts of invasive tests (bone marrow biopsy) and I was stressed beyond belief. It turned out to be absolutely nothing, so I can't even imagine what you're going through. I hope everything works out.

The level-up glitch only occurs, as far as I know, if you don't level up when the prologue/tutorial tells you to. For some reason it re-locks and will not unlock. So, now you know.

That is, indeed, the worst Christmas gift ever. I don't think we've ever spoken but I still hope you're able to beat cancer.

It isn't just confined to Africa, but basically this. Talk about first world problems.

First time hearing about that problem. But the windowed issue sounds like a video driver problem. As for the character record problem, according to the link below, it's a bug, but there's a work around for it. It sucks that you would need to restart a new game or reload an old save, but at that early stage in the game, you're not really losing much. Hopefully they'll fix the problem itself soon.

windowed issue sounds like a "mantle" problem. Disable mantle and run DX11, it works best anyway.

My PC is not high-end and I loaded up my game no problems, although I left my computer on overnight as it was downloading and installing the game from Origin XD(Australia internet too, so it's a lot slower).

I can also play in windowed mode just fine, I just have to lower the graphical settings.

Very weird problems you are getting.

Agreed.  Mantle still has some issues, so make sure you switch to DX11.  Also OP, have you tried doing a clean re-install of your graphic drivers?  It helped me out.  Plus, you should check out the link in the top line of my signature.  The person that is behind that thread is really nice and helpful.  I've also gotten some good tips out of there.   :)

You're really quick to judge the whole game due to a bug appearantly only you got. I know it's really frustrating when you want to finally start and play but you can't, but that's just unfair, isn't it?

Man, there are so many people here with like one complaint who say the entire game was bad.

I just want you to know that my liking your post doesn't mean I think it's cool you have cancer...  I felt weird clicking on that, but the post deserved recognition for perspective.  I hope your treatments are successful.

Same here. Hope you stay strong Elhanan and beat the cancer like you can beat stuff in Inquisition - with great success. All the best to you.

OP, i wouldnt be so dramatic about this. As others have said - first world problems. I have a gaming laptop which is already 1,5 years old (because hardware gets old really fast) and i have zero problems running Inquisition.

Wow, really?

We are back to the old "Oh, other people have it worse, so your issue isn't important."?

There is -always- someone who has it worse than you because things can -always- get worse.

That doesn't mean complaints are invalid, it doesn't mean those issues can be dismissed out of hand and it certaintly doesn't mean people get to use it as a weaponized excuse to "win" arguments.

"My car broke down and the repairs were so expensive, I can't afford presents for the kids now." - "At least you have a car, other people have to walk."

That's not helpful, is it? It doesn't even address the problem.

Elhanan, so far you've been pretty straightforward and I believe you. I hope your health improves and wish you all the best. BUT... using this as an argument here was a jerk move and I don't care if people think I'm an ******* for saying this. Bringing up cancer means you "win"... not because you are right but because society looks down on anyone who'd argue against you.

That being said, the OP is overly dramatic... but he's also not wrong. For him it is probably the worst christmas present he ever received. It's an issue for him and he's clearly bothered by it. Does anyone think it's fair to dismiss his feelings on the matter because someone else has it worse?

If you answered the last question with yes, then you are no longer allowed to complain about -anything- ever again because there will always be people who have it worse.

Perspective meaning "my present was even worse" and dismissing his issues? Yeah, I don't feel like repeating myself.

Happy New Year.

Putting perspective to the topic would need something topic-relevant. I have cancer issues as well, I'm not going to relate them over here, because they are irrelevant. On the other hand I have serious issues with my xbox360 gameplay so yeah I relate those. It's a below-the-belt sort of move, and I think you know it, since you did it on purpose to "put perspective to the issue". I'd call it cheap, but I'm really disinclined to start an argument come X-mas time. Happy New Year, and all that.

Did he say it ruined his Christmas? I thought he just said it was the worst Christmas present. A bit over-dramatically, but I'm pretty sure that's what he said.

FWIW - The Ignore function allows for more than a single entry; even has more than one page. Pls feel free to include me on your list, if you are so inclined.

Have now completed one campaign, and killed five High Dragons; still no major bugs here.

Not the worst, BUT, for my Christmas, I got 6 bottles of Stetson from 5 different people.....then an expensive, proffessional style, hair trimmer from walmart with the box taped, and the trimmer blades had some guy's back hair on it, they didn't bother checking if it had been used after whoever returned it, and they put it back onto the shelf. Then, I bought myself an exersise bike, also from walmart, put it together, and it turned out that the display was broke, the backing had cat claw marks, and the body didn't fit together right, so now I have to spend all the time to take this heavy @$$ thing apart and take it back.

On a side note, my game keeps randomly crashing, waiting on a fix that will come soon....I hope.
