I just spent the last hour fighting the Highland Ravager.  After many close calls I had it down to 10,000 HP with all my team members just barely hanging in there and potions long exhausted.  I thought that Varric's focus ability would finally bring it down.  Two dozen arrows to the face should do the trick, wouldn't you say?

BUT NO, THE GAME GLITCHED AND EVERYONE RESPAWNED WITH FULL HEALTH, INCLUDING THE GOD DAMN DRAGON!

Not only that, but the same thing happened on one of the other dragons, effectively giving it about 400,000 HP all told.  Luckily I was able to finish that one off.  But not the Ravager.  I don't think I've ever wanted to throw my control through my monitor any more than when that Ravager respawned with a pristine 300,000 HP....

Ooo, that's a horrible tale.

I had an odd bug where Hand of Korth would periodically appear, ready for battle. :P

It was probably my fault for trying to lure him out of his lair and then running away from the battle.

(I solved it by waiting for I'm to appear and then defeating him in his lair.)

I had a bug when fighting the Kaltenzahn - nothing as bad as yours fortunately but still annoying! For some reason, as the fight progressed the framerate dropped ... And dropped ... And dropped, until it was in total slo-mo. But only when the dragon was present - when it took off everything returned to normal until it landed again, then back to super slo-mo. Luckily I was still able to kill it, but it took FOREVER. And as soon as it was dead, back to normal. So weird!!

Not certain, but Focus may actually be slowing certain aspects of a Dragon battle to allow the Player to have more reaction time to dodge incoming breath attacks. I tend to Pause often, but this is somewhat like what I have seen during some aerial combats thus far.

Varric's focus ability is incredibly buggy, especially when combined with Leaping Shot. Makes many encounters reset (if you're lucky enough not to simply fall off the map.) If that doesn't happen, one can easily take off more than half the total health of a dragon, though.

In fact, I'm thinking that might be part of the problem. One is doing damage so fast that one triggers one health-based event before the current one has time to finish, and one is in the air while they trigger.

Natureguy, you are such a meanie. :P

OP, I know how you feel, I spent almost 3 hours in the CC the first time, and when I finally clicked "accept", power cut and I was left alone in the dark screaming inside.

Tis a blessing really... cos once you kill all the dragons... the game feels empty. Tis like... you cant find anything worthy to fight anymore.  :D

Sounds plausible.  It was the double Leaping Shot that did me in both times.  I thought it was an isolated incident during the first dragon battle, but after the Ravager I won't be making that mistake again!
