I got this game for x-mas, I have a computer that can run this game beautifully I was super excited, I realize launches can be rocky but you know this has been out for a few months. No real reason to worry about game breaking issues/ bugs right? Wrong.

First full-screen doesn't work, but w/e my computer is good enough to run DA I with the windowed full screen without problems. But then, I encountered a problem.

I reached the hinterlands and I realized my character screen was still locked. And I was competently unable to level up my character.

So my feedback to bioware is simple - Please patch your game so your players can actually play it... This is beyond Ridiculous. It has been well over a month since release, a thread has been in your support forums for just as long, There have been threads on every major forum that i have seen about both of these issues.

Do better.

This kinda of lazy workmanship disgust me. Last time I buy/ask for a bioware game.

First DA 2 then Mass Effect 3 now DA I where leveling up your character isnt actually possible.

11/10 best demo ever.

It has? :? I didn't realize November to December was the span of a few months. (Don't get riled up, I'm only joking) Bad joke aside, patches can take a while to push out, and it will be a little while before the next one what with BioWare on holiday and all. They only managed to get us one patch before the holidays. Sucks, but c'est la vie. Hopefully things will get better for PC players in the next patch.

A: It hasn't been out a few months yet.
B: That's still a super messed up bug and not the only that requires a restart hours in to fix.
C: How the hell did you make it that far without realising you can't level up?

Well if someone else bought this game for you then there's no need to say that it's the worst xmas gift ever. They spent good money to buy something you were excited for. It's not the gift giver's fault, how could they predict that this would happen?

Now go to them and make sure you're ready to express a sincere apology.

You say you have a good PC. What are your specs? That matters for the full screen issue.

As cynical as it sounds, expecting a modern game release to actually be functional any time close to the release window is at best a crapshoot.

You would except game to be playable only with minor bugs at this time but nope..

But also it's not months. It's one month since release so they are still patching. Hopefully really soon..

Both Skyrim and FNV had a memory leak problem on PS3 that rendered the game increasingly unplayable the further you got, and the issues were NEVER patched. I'm not defending Bioware's actions here, the PC version is, by all accounts, a buggy mess, more pointing out the need to read about bugs and patches before you buy.

Maybe the Skyrim's problem is fixed by now since I haven't go any problems with my Skyrim on PS3. Or then I'm just lucky.

I'll be happy if I were you. Look at this, a video game as a x-mas present.

I love Christmas and giving gifts so this thread title makes me very sad!

If only working at release was actually a priority. This isn't Bioware though; it's just where the industry is.

Why, if it doesn't work?

Got that bug too because i reloaded during the tutorial level-up. Luckily i realized it early and was able to reload a save. Annoying but nothing to get worked up over.

Correction - a modern AAA game release.
