There were many times I wanted to punch him but the option was never there. I especially wanted to throw him in the well of sorrows after he snapped at me when I asked him if he wanted to go in. Guess I played the game too nice.
I still liked him though.
Well, I want to bite his chin every time the game shows his face so...does that count?
I will punch him when I get to that point in my current playthrough.
Yep I punched him on my evil PT after he called my character and all qunari simple minded brutes. It was great.
Hmm...I doubt there was any punching going on since the Inquisitor and Solas aren't all that into the kinky stuff. Solas doesn't even have a safe word when you talk about them in Bull's romance.
Good for you! Hit him again if you get the chance.
Good job on proving him right.

erm yea it does, in specific cases.
No. I wanted a "kick hard in the shins" option after he's such a condescending jerk to Varric at the end of Cole's quest though. You KNOW his name is Varric, Solas, would it kill you to use it? ![]()
While I never cared much for Solas, I did respect him.
That was before learning that he was as responsible for the Breach as Coryfish (seriously, what was it about a darkspawn magister with ambitions to become a god that made Solas' stupid head think it would be a good idea to entrust him with a powerful elven artifact capable of ******* up the sky?), and then what he did in the epilogue actually made me hate him. I wonder what major **** up he'll conjure up next.
So, yeah, I'd punch his stupid ass too.
Oh, had I known he was a god I would have done more than punch him. As it was, I wanted to lock him away for all his deranged babble about the Fade overlapping with Thedas.
No, I didn't punch him.. cause I don't punch people that disagree with me.
But if DLC is "God Hunt" and I catch him... he'll be in chains. Really thin chains because of those weak elven wrists... but chains none-the-less. And Tranquilizing him will be considered.
If there's a "God" on Thedas - let him remain aloof and unmeddling. Gods that bestride Thedas are the enemies of peace and therefore of my Inquisition.
What a load of horse ****.
I'd give Bioware my soul if I could punch Vivienne and/or kick her out of The Inquisition.
As for Solas, nah, could never hate him.
I watched the scene on youtube and I think it's very interesting from a character perspective, but I'd never be able to punch him myself. Not after seeing that his greatest fear is "dying alone".
I love the Fade and I'm fascinated by it. When the game told me he was an apostate mage who studied the Fade, I fell in love with him. Knowing his true nature of him being a wolf in elven clothing... Well, my baby Merrill from DA2 mentioned him a few times, so he can't be too bad.
I use to feel this way, except for the babies part (I don't think Death can create life, but I digress). Then I rediscovered the area where the cave is in Creastwood that he takes Lavellan to in the break-up scene, and solved the Astrarium puzzles...and read the lore in front of the owl statue.
You know that sick feeling you get when you realize not only is someone not who they appear to be, but they are pretty much the exact opposite. Yeah. Once you have the lore knowledge, and enter that cave and look at the paintings on the wall and the pile of intact skeletons in the corner, prepare yourself for the gut-punch of the century. Ask yourself why he picked *that* particular cave to take Lavellan in that last scene? Why *is* the veil so thin there? How many times has this Breach catastrophe happened in the past? And how many "Champions" of Falon'Din have there been in the past? Then be grateful he left your character there when he did. Whether it was the Anchor that saved Lavellan's life or the possibility he had a feeling for the first time *ever* in his miserable life remains to be seen. Either way he is a fiend and deserves to be punched.
Wait, what does Falon'Din have to do with Solas?
How about drop kick her out of that terrace like you do the Harlequin in Halamshiral? I love defenestration.I'd give Bioware my soul if I could punch Vivienne and/or kick her out of The Inquisition.

Since Mythal and Fen'Harel were probably tag teaming to beat Falon'Din into submission for his brutality, I think the poster is a little confused.Wait, what does Falon'Din have to do with Solas?

You know what is funny? I had the same exact thought! I was like man, I'd get the PC version just to replace the harlequin with Vivienne.
Since Mythal and Fen'Harel were probably tag teaming to beat Falon'Din into submission for his brutality, I think the poster is a little confused.
Are they attributing something Falon'Din did to Solas, then, and getting them mixed up? I haven't actually found that area or seen the lore in front of the Owl Statue.

Defenestrate all the things!
I just watched Solas getting punched on Youtube. Oh, my.
If he didn't need the Inquisitor to fix the sky and kill Coryfyfin...Solas would have incinerated the Inquisitor XD. Seriously, you'd see a pile of ashes.
Solas can be (is?) obnoxious and judgmental, but I don't think I'd want to punch him.
Now Vivienne...is there an option to punch her? If so, I'd have a reason to recruit her! ![]()
Good, I'm glad SOMEONE punched him.
I wanted to do the same to his elf-nuggets at the romance 'culmination' scene.
I'm hoping to my female elf inquisitor gets to jump his bones for real some time in the future. Evil Solas would have less of a conscience.
