Maybe I'm mistaken, but I'm fairly sure I disagreed with her in the post-temple conversation and we were still able to keep our relationship together. It was a lengthy, drawn out spat, but in the end we were still together.

First I've heard of such a thing happening. Perhaps its a glitch or maybe your mistaking a continued romance for a return to platonic friendship. 

 

Does she still address you as Buckles or Inky? That would definitely indicate that your still in a romance.

It only ends the romance if you're playing as an elf and you refuse to lie to her. If you're any other race, you don't have to do that, iirc.
