Dont get me wrong Im having a blast playing the game, but it sure feels like Im in a Lord of the Rings movie...the battle at Ostagar? Come on...thinly veiled at best. right down to the big ogre running (troll) alongside the darkspawn (orcs/goblins/Uruqhai). The large fireball/balistae bashing the walkway..Clearly there is some imitation going on.
Still, imitation is supposed to be the highest form of flattery, no?

Well, it can't be helped... LOTR pretty much is the source of most modern fantasy.
Anyway, does it really matter?

meh, you just described every fantasy mass combat ever. I'm sure I've seen warhammer games that went the exact same way.
IMO: the zombie "orc" idea is far more original than people give credit for.

This game really is LOTR without the silly rings and I LOVE IT.

Plus no hobbits, and you can even mock the elves! -)Wissenschaft wrote...

I must admit it's very similar. And only a no-brainer wouldn't see the similarities. Yet, only crazy people would like to build a game that's so similar to such a remarkable tale. You never want your product to be compared to what excels in it's genre because it's too easy to see of what it lacks. Well, either you are crazy, or confident, smart and genuine.
