No option to delete "Playthrough States"?

Hi,

I was wondering why there is no option to delete playthrough states in the "Playthrough State" tab? I had to start a few new games in my Dragon Age Inquisition game to test out characters with the lip gloss issue in bright light and adjusting lip color etc...which resulted in a bunch of playthrough states in my Dragon Age Keep tap window to be listed. I want to delete them, since those saved games are deleted, as I have finished testing out what adjustments I have to make in the character creation to have the proper lip adjustment.

Is there any option to delete old playthrough states that I missed? I looked all over the tab, but I can't seem to find such said option.

Any help be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

As far as I know there is no way to delete Playthrough States at the moment, but it has been requested many, many times, so hopefully it will be something BW will turn their attention to, once all the launch issues have died down/been fixed.

The doubly annoying thing about having Playthrough States for games which aren't proceeded with is that - once you reach the limit of ten (very easy to do given how bad the character creator is!) - your subsequent playthroughs (i.e. ones that you are actually playing) don't seem to create a new state at all. This means that they will be useless for future DLC and add-ons. I have to believe BW will do something about this for that reason alone. If they don't, one of the few benefits of having the Keep at all will simply cease to exist.

It will be in the next update after the new year. I thought Playthrough states were supposed to be infinite unlike Worldstates.

Apparently not. I have ten Playthrough States, many of which relate to characters I abandoned because, once I left the CC, they looked kind of ridiculous (usual probs with over-glossy textures and garishly vivid colouring etc). The playthrough I'm currently in the middle of, however, has generated no Playthrough State at all.

The World State section of the Keep has ten slots for Playthrough States and, if you start another after they're all filled, there's nowhere for the new playthrough to go!

EDIT: I take it back. I now have eleven Playthrough States, so something must have been patched since the last time I checked! I still don't have my current playthrough showing up, but maybe it will eventually, now that the limit of ten has been lifted?

Maybe so, but there's no sign of it so far.

If the limit issue has been fixed, I'm thinking it may have something to do with the hacking of PSN. I'll be interested to see if it appears once PSN is back up and running.

Could be.

I have actually been running tests all night long, creating several new characters and testing out the lip adjustment in the Character Creation window to lower the white glare effect on the lips from lightning and shaders in various areas.

I am counting at the moment 15x playthrough states in my tab, of which 11x are labeled as "Deleted" to differenate between my 4x actual saved games-in-proress and the 11x that served only to test out characters in-game (and those 11x saved games I deleted in-game after my testing concluded).

As far a I can tell, there seems to be no limited as to how many playthrough states can be listed and each saved game did produce a playthrough state with my character's name, class, gender and race referenced (with the exception of one, which I will write about at the end of this text).

However, whether there is truly a limit as to how many playthrough states there can be, is anyone's guess. 20, 30, 40, 50? Who knows, but it would take a long time to test that out and to see, which I am not planning to do.

Not entirely sure why your having issues with saved games not producing correct playthrough states in your Dragon Keep window. Maybe a glitch? I did notice one thing however last night.

On one of my test runs in-game, after the character creation, I skipped through the cinematic and the dialogue animations with Cassandra etc...to quicken the process of getting to the bridge after you get out of the dungeon at the start, so I could inspect my characters looks and lips etc...

I saved and exited and logged on Dragon Age Keep on my PC and noticed that my saved playthrough state did not list my character, just the two heroes from DAO and DAII.

So then I asked myself why my character was missing in the playthrough state. And I decided to stop skipping through the cinematic and dialogue animations when running a new started game. I also saved each new game a few times and then logged out.

I logged back again into Dragon Age Keep to see if my newly started characters and their referenced playthrough state appeared as it should (with name, race, gender and the picture) and it did, for all the ones I created after the initial one, while running test game runs.

Hope that made sense what I wrote here and perhaps that may have caused that problem, skipping through the cinematic and the dialogue animations when pressing "X". (I'm on Xbox One).

In any case, I do have my 4x game-in-progress now setup, which I each play, depending whether I am in the mood to play my Elven Warrior or Human Mage etc...

If I am to make a new character however, I will make sure after exiting the dungeon at the beginning and after saving, that the playthrough state in Dragon Age Keep reflects everything as it should, namely; my character's picture next to the two heroes from DAO and DAII and my character's name, race and gender.

Hope what I wrote here may have helped a little.

I don't know how relevant this would be now, but on my dragon age keep i currently have 30 playthroughs logged, although all of them have been redos in the prologue, except for two that made it out, and one that made it to 40 hours. I've deleted all of them so i could redownload and play through dragon ages 1 and 2, and have a "true" DA:K story. Hope that helped at all

I have upwards of 40 different playthrough states of which 6 or 7 are viable. The rest I have renamed Dead State though Deleted sounds much easier to do.

If you click on them it brings up the option to rename them, same as world states. Though it hasn't seemed to work for me before today!
