there are some really nice armors, shields and weapons that the enemies wear (mostly the humans, for example the hessarians) - which as a player you dont seem to be able to get...this is really a shame and a wasted opportunity imo...the models are already in the game, why not giving it to the player?

Probally, due to time constraints they couldn't do as much. I know to everyone, they think 'oh they extended the time?! they should have done alot more'
Really, they were bug squashing and finishing touches. If they released it in October it would probally be worse(Cough*assasinscreedunity*cough*). There is alot of Armor in the game. Just Varients of Coats, Mails and Armor, and the unique ones for Each race.

Give them time to release DLC, and see what happens there. Also, if you could post a picture of the armor, it would be easier on people replying here.

thats the point i dont get, cause they HAD to make the models for the enemies anyway which i assume works the same way as when done for the heroes...

the armor for example looks like the dlc armor from dragon age 2 and the shield is the tower shield with colorful lions on front of it (reminds of a breton or french shield heraldry)

You need to consider the fact that armor was made to fit a human form, possibly even a certain gender. In order to make it available to the player, Bioware would need to create versions for different body types. That's 8 versions in total.

Or, they could leave it as human only, but then everyone who plays a non human Inquisitor would complain that it's not available to them.

Also, that armor may have been available in DA2, but DA:I is using a brand new engine, which means everything has to be rebuilt from scratch.

What everyone is apparently forgetting is bioware's claim of if you can see it, you can wear it.. I can see a great many armors that I cannot wear.. In fact, this is just one of the many promises they made and fell so far short, it is analogous to a North Korean missile test.
