The store should have other chest types, especially one guaranteeing a unique item.

You don't get to see many BW posts on this board anyway. And no big wonder if from 1.5 M posts about DA:I only 20k is about the multiplayer.

Back on the ME3 MP forums while they were still supporting it they commented fairly often. For the past year or so though they disappeared and suddenly you would only see a bioware post if it was a mod come to kill all the fun.

I'm hoping that it's because they're busy working on patches. smiley_innocent.gif

Well, I believe it currently is because they are on holidays, but it all depends on the development team and their mentality upon their return after the holidays. :P

Personally, I just want less randomness upon trying to get loot. If it is through chests with guaranteed things, or an actual crafting system, it is all good to me, but I do not want to sit on enough gold to buy 100 large chests and hesitate because experiences tell me that I will get almost nothing anyway.

I had the money for 100 Premium Spectre Packs in Mass Effect 3 and I thought "Damn, I am going to fill up the majority of my Rares of my manifest, awesomeeeee!". There is a serious gap between the two which I am not comfortable with, which is why I am hoping that either the crafting system is expanded or the RNG of store chests is improved.

"Good for me" is debatable. Penguin has three Longbows of the Griffon and there's a guy on his reddit who has six. I wasn't posting this to brag, but rather to show how broken the RNG is. After you get a unique item once you shouldn't get it again in my opinion.

Sigh, if only text could convey emotion. I actually didn't think you were trying to brag and the good for you comment was sincere. I was just saying the drops you received are not the norm ( for me at least ). The most powerful weapon I have is a sword that does 140 dps but, it doesn't do anywhere near that dmg in perilous lol, it tops out at like 75-80 dmg. My poor Dwarf spends an eternity hacking on lowly Wraiths. :)

You are clueless. DAMP store is a rehash of ME3MP store, and I can't count all the threads that said that "RNG store can't be back for DAMP! No, don't put it in the next ME!!!" etc. They showed up every goddamn month, and I already told you what were the effects.

You say, like many before you, that compromise is not enough. Then wake up, princess, because it's a model that works and people are willing to spend as much as $400 in the shop already, and BioWare can just sit with their arms crossed doing jack s**t. And that means that RNG is here to stay and if we are to experience any change they will all be changes within the current system not a system overhaul.

Games should be fun. This one - honestly - is. But it's not fun if you can grind ad infinitum and still not get the item you want, but for example - 6 items you already have, like Cirvante and his Griffon bows.

As this shop is a rehash of ME3MP ones we know what can be changed relatively easy. Which are drop rates (rarity wise) and kinds of things that drop out of the chests. And that is a thing that is achievable. It's a matter of man hours needed to introduce such changes. Anyone who says that the whole system needs to be changed clearly didn't attend BSN while playing ME3MP and doesn't know futility of such proposals.

I might be clueless but your suggestion is still half-assed and RNG store is still a scam.

Thoughts?

My thoughts. Making lower level uniques into rares is pretty much the last thing that I want addressed as far as MP goes. "So players don't get their hopes up"......................? You'll live.

Nobody uses potions? Well that's news. I'm fine with the chest setup giving you potions. Maybe give me an option to sell all my resist potions save spirit.

You're unhappy that you can be on your katari and have a staff upgrade drop? Or on your alch and a griffon bow drop? What more do you want........seems like a fine setup to me.

As for the "white whale" comment, that's the entire point of a loot based system. To constantly strive for that last upgrade. If you're implying you want more comparable top tier weapons, i'd say there are a good handful already. Griffin bow better for hunter while maker bow arguably better for archer. There's other examples as well, with 1h's and staves. I swap out staves frequently depending on the group comp. Not sure what more you want.

More weapons in future DLC's is most likely going to happen, and yeah I'd love that too.

While craftable weapons isn't a terrible idea, I feel like adding more and better looking armor (with previews) should help with unused mats.

Personally, I would like an accessory store option of some kind, or maybe some more schematics for weapons and armors. They can be ridiculously expensive so most people will still go for the random loot, but I would save up my gold to go shopping every now and then to help perfect builds for specific classes.

I get the feeling they plan to release weapon schematics at some point in the future. That would be easier than making and adding new weapons and it would add a little bit of diversity to the way people use each class since everyone won't be using the same 2 weapons with the same stats all the time. One dlc could add tier 1 - 3 weapon schematics to chests and the next dlc could add fade touched material to chests and have the option to make master work weapons.

I agree with OP for the most parts. The ME 3 store was mostly ok in my book, but here we have one layer of rng too many. Crafting for multiplayer sure is a nice idea, but for that I would prefer to buy chests with crafting materials only.

Agreed. Hell, thats what buying a chest boils down to very quickly 99% of the time. Its just more work navigating your inventory and salvaging the usual grey weapons you just got.

I'd add the option to automatically salvage items in bulk to the list, or automatically salvage common/blue items with a level below X.

There is a simple fix to the loot system one that does not affect platinum. Simply by adding in tier items allow us to make an item via materials. Then let us upgrade it with more materials making it a tier 2 item.

I.e these stats are not set just on the spot
Tier 1 dagger level 5 10 metal 10 leather 4 cloth
58 dps 2 cun 6 dex

Tier 2 dagger level 10 a further 15 metal leather 8 cloth 120 dps 8 cun 10 dex

Etc etc etc you get the idea now once you max your item out you get to choose a perk to put on said item.

I.e 10 percent chance to cast walking bomb

Now these could be a limited set only set by the weapon of choice. This would make chests still needed like hell but give us something to work towards and feel proud to have made.

1) Yes, I'll live, but I think that finding a unique item should be always a moment of happiness, not disappointment.

2) So you do agree a bulk of potions are useless.

3) I don't want to play a bunch of classes, for example I don't care about the daggers. Why should the game decide what classes can I play on higher difficulties?

4) 1 best weapon for a class is way too low. Weapons should synergize with different builds and skills, like 1 weapon that would enhance skill X or Y, and another that would enhance skill Z or Ż while having comparable DPS.

5) Yes, I agree about the number of armors, and why previews aren't availble is beyond me.
