You only get skills points in this installment of DA.
Attribute points you get from unlocking some passive skills, lvling in general and/or gear.

You automatically level up in those.. and they change based on what weapons, armor and accessories you use as you level up. You only get ability points to spend

Health doesn't restore on it's own unless you go to a camp. You have to use potions. Either the Health Potion or Regeneration Potion will heal you. There is also no heal spell your mages can use.

Don't overthink it, you can always buy a reskill-amulet near the blacksmith (tacticians renewal).

Yeah they made this system rather simple but there is some depth that comes mostly with skill choice guess that is one reason why there is 8 skill limit as character building would be too bland. Also your stamina/mana bar is static (the amount at least, it does regenerate slowly or in case of stamina as you use auto attack) only way to boost them is trough passive skills(regeneration) or accessory(amount).

If you're low on health and not in combat, bring up the map and fast travel to the camp nearest where you want to resume exploring. You will be healed instantly and can restock potions.

I always use regen potions on everyone even during battle on occasion. It's not pooled for team consumption so it lasts longer than health. There are "Heal on Kill" and masterwork healing in crafting as well. These help a lot.Health doesn't restore on it's own unless you go to a camp. You have to use potions. Either the Health Potion or Regeneration Potion will heal you. There is also no heal spell your mages can use.
Tips:
- Fast travel restores health
- Sleeping at camp restores health
- Setting up new camp restores health
- Use regen potion after battles instead of healing
-Use regen potions during tougher battles for ongoing temporary healing
- add heal on kill components when crafting.
