Yeppers! a lot of people agree with you on this one, but many fan's of this version of DA will bash you for asking about it, but I think the 8 slot for skills is just stupid.

And yes this has been re-hashed, and re-hashed again, and again on this forum, but I think it is well worth letting bioware know that many of us hate it, and as this is feedback, and suggestions I think it is the place to let them know you don't like it, and the counter point people can always say why they like it.

I just personally think it is funny that every time I enter battle my Mage forgets half her spell's.

Well said, I couldn't agree more.

Except theres room on the controllers for another 4 slots.

Yes, by holding down another button. The controller had room for the radial menu in the previous games, but I think one of the devs said the radial menu "slowed the game down" too much.

... and then they used the tac cam, because that's much faster? ^^

And having to pause with the Tactical Camera after EVERY strike to assign orders to each player because they stripped the preset behaviors down so much DOESN'T slow the game down?!? What a crock. They dumbed it down, pure and simple, and they don't have the decency to admit it. Offering a radial menu in addition to hot-slots only slows the game down if the player wants to make use of the extra abilities. If they want to work within the on-screen limitations, they can. But at least they'd have the CHOICE. Bioware claims to offer the player choices when it comes to the storytelling, why do they insist on taking away our choices when it comes to the actual gameplay?

Except on certain quests they drop "resupply" boxes. Nothing breaks immersion more than fighting your way through a castle and BAMM - you run into a box with health potions conveniently sitting there. LOL. God.

You know. I wonder if ANYONE at BW actually played this game? Cause I can't imagine anyone there can keeping a straight face while talking about this game.

Yeah. even in areas where no man has set foot before, you find those boxes. And right next to enemies. I wonder why they want the player to be so limited in his choices in combat (reducing the abilities to 8) when they are hand-holding the player all through the game anyway.

I am sure they all played it. I am more curious about the reviewers, though. All of them gave the game top marks. Nobody even reported seeing any bugs.

Our choices for the character (not including the cosmetic ones), are guy with 2 daggers, guy with bow, guy with big sword, guy with sword and shield, or mage. And only 8 abilities can be used. Diablo 3 much? I bet you if you and I made 4 characters each, 1 or more would be identical.

I also dropped MotR, but have read that it can be very useful vs certain encounters where I did not have it (eg; Dragons). And I never used the first Trap slot under Artificer, and really did not miss it. However, it might have been nice to have it as an option to see it work rather than get replaced by Archer and Stealth options.

If you're playing as a DD rogue, MotR is the BOMB! I took out two giants on my own, thanks to this and the fact that I had a Tempest specialization. I'm playing as a mage now, however, and MotR is worthless.

I play on console and I hate the reduced complexity s*hit!

I had high hopes after the DA 2 debacle ... I thought Bioware and EA had learned their lesson.

It seems quite the opposite is the case now frankly!

Everything that is broken on PC is broken on console too!
