Ok so i havent played a ton of this game but after tons of time trying to figure out what class and specialization i want to play i am surprised that i havent really seen anyone talking about the possibilities of having a tempest and assassin in your party. Think about mark of death and then flask of lightning and then flask of fire and then detonate. Wouldnt both flasks be the best possibility for dps and then just double it with the mark?

I ask because like i said, i havent seen anyone mention it. Is it really not that good? Is it just rarely used? Any opinions, experience or help would be awesome. And I really don't know where to put this post for it to be seen and be in the correct place

It would by all accounts be an excellent combination. I would think the main reason it's not talked about very much is that the game doesn't have the difficulty to warrant or stand up to special synergizing combinations once you get good enough gear and high enough level. As can be seen here, a single tempest and some preparation is enough to kill even the toughest mobs almost instantly. Another combination that is virtually impossible to stop is rogue parties with Varric, Sera and artificer Inquisitor all going ranged and having practically zero cooldowns due to the crits. Can also be combined with Cole and mark of death for e.g. mark -> 3x full draw -> 3x long shot + eventual lightning flask from Sera.

Honestly a single DW assassin can output more than enough damage for MOD. Tempest is not really needed.
