I like it when men open the door for me. And if they want to look at my ass while doing it... well who am I to stop them.
There is nothing that will stop them from looking anyway even if you wanted to. Its a small price to pay to get the door opened for you plus in my case I take solace in knowing no of them will ever get to have it.

You guys are portraying exactly what I'm trying to say here. Women should not have preferential treatment because of their gender. Period. If you do that to everyone, Then great, But if you do that to women only, That's hypocrisy.
P.S: I'm amazed how something as trivial as holding a door can create a very long conversation.

Also I am definitely sticking to my never hold doors open thing. Mostly because I am just so much more important then everyone else. Cant be bothered.

Oh that why . I closed the door in the face of a woman with a 2 month kids at the convenience shop and she gave me the death stare. I did not know she was there though.

I think there is a difference between preferential treatment and different treatment. There are significant biological differences between the genders and to think they can ever be "equal" is naive. If we were the same there would not need to be a word for "men" and "women" just humans. We have to accept that biology allows for differential treatment and society should as well.
The example I always give is... a woman should be allowed to have maternity leave at work and a man should be able to have leave to spend time with his new child and so forth. They are similar in that they are doing two different things concerning a single event but hardly equal.
Women and men need to work towards being "equivalent" and not "equal". No matter how much my fellow feminist scream and shout we will never be equal to men and they will never be equal to us. The law and society needs to come to terms with this. That is not to say one is better then the other but to acknowledge that there is a difference.

Eh too much work for me man. Plus the laugh isn't worth the punishment i'd receive after.

The difference is characteristic, It's up to you to decide it. Society's treatment of you should be the same though. It's the job of society to create an environment open to opportunities to all sides. It's not society's job to show others how to treat you.
