Hate is such a strong word for "pretend people." I was bored by Hawke. I am glad I will no longer be bored by her after "Here Lies the Abyss."

i'm the same, I never hate fictional characters, I might find some more or less interesting than others but I never have actual real life negative emotions towards them.

Vivienne, darling.

haha, I actually like how stuck up she is, makes for interesting party banter,

Not many were educated in such a time until the printing press rolled out.

I don't mind so much so that she doesn't make sense half the time.  I like when you sit down with her on the roof and have an ice-breaker conversation about her past that starts with a cookie.  Was a really deep and a great companion interaction story.

My only real gripe, which goes for most female NPCs and companions are the hairstyles.  It's been brought up before the hairstyle selection in for female NPCs is terrible.  Sera's designated hairstyle is bland and I think Vivienne was made bald by whoever designed her for a lack of better hair choices.

Sera - Poorly done IMO, Refuses to learn or change no matter what. I don't recruit her.

Vivienne - power hungry snob but, at least she has reasons for being that way beyond "everything is stupid."

Solas - I respect him, don't like him but he does have reasons and, he is well educated.

Cassandra - not bad but she hides who she really is, I don't care for that.

Josephine - could be a playful Isabella (minus the raider stuff) but puts on the aire of nobility. Useful but it comes off as an act.

Cullen - honest, real, I like him

Varric - well we all know Varric has his faults and can never tell the same exact story twice, he's a habitual liar but, he does try and, does see what he is.

Blackwall - I like him but, I'd like him better if we simply rescued him form the noose as Tom Ranier.

Cole - I like him left as a spirit, he has a different way of seeing the world and, it doesn't fit making him more human.

Iron Bull - I like the brute, he's got some depth to him, all be that a bit kinky, he has a big heart if you let him show it.

Dorian - intelligent, has a lot of insecurities but, uses snark and humor to cover them, and other emotions. Also prone to drinking himself to oblivion. Not too bad but, he needs a counselor.

Lilieanna - Good spymaster if you soften her. Death happy ruthless b***h if you don't.

I didn't really hate any of the companions. Sera could be a bit much at times, but every time I thought I might be getting close to really disliking her she would say something funny that would make me laugh and I'd be okay with her again. Vivienne was a bit too stuck up for my liking, but I really enjoyed the relationship between her and the Iron Bull, the banter between them is just brilliant.

It's logically defensible, which is all that matters.

It's actually quite ignorant that you can't grasp it, but not surprisingly so. A native speaker can and should easily pick up on the clear implication in the thread title. "Best x apart from y?" implies that y is the best / widely considered the best. "Worst x apart from y?" implies that y is the worst / widely considered the worst. This is long established and universally understood. Your not being able to figure it out 'logically' is moot.

The language is full of turns of phrase like this where the meaning is obvious without it being spelled out literally or 'logically'. Thankfully the writer can usually rely on the reader having a thorough grasp of the language and how its used.

Bottom line is Poisd2Strike correctly interpreted the title and you didn't. The rest is just you failing to dig yourself out of a hole.

I don't agree that he did. Whether the conclusion he drew in error is actually true is irrelevant.

Reasoning isn't about finding correct answers.

Sera is annoying but at least she's an attempt at a new character. If I could remove anyone from the game it would be every single returning character from the previous games, comics, books, etc...except for Cole and Cassandra. No Varric, no Cullen, no Morrigan, no Briala/Gaspard/Fiona/Briala, no Alistair, no Loghain, no Anora, no Stroud, no Sampson, no Corypheus, no Hawke, etc...and especially no Leliana.

I'm sad to say it, but Morrigan. After what happened in the Temple of Mythal I'm just so tired of her. It was mostly because of how that sequence was written, I think. The Dalish Inquisitor suddenly being so dumb she doesn't even know who Mythal is or understand written elven language... mostly to make Morrigan look better and all knowing. I didn't let her drink from the Well and never will. Enough with these companions turned Super Special Snowflake Demi-Gods already. Alistair is as bad or maybe even worse than Morrigan, but at least he only had very small part in the game.

Iron Bull

Why would I hate Sera? She kind of represents my favorite elements in the series. The down to earth stuff and urban life (now if only the game itself had better cities).

I literally never used Solas other then his personal quests because Vivienne was my mage of choice and i found him boring. But i don't hate him or anyone.

Sera is annoying, sure, but Vivienne is a horrible, murderous, and hypocritical human being.

Also, why did she magic herself darker skin? Doesn't make sense to me.

I missed this in the game. Where does it say that she did this?

She didn't. I think her original concept art showed her skin as white, and people have been running rampant with it ever since.

I could be wrong, and maybe it is in Trespasser? Haven't read the codex entries in a while.

Would she need a reason? Would she need you to approve of that reason?

Iron Bull and Bianca. Yuck. I also can't stand Josephine's or Mother Gisele's voices anymore. It's like I can hear the saliva frothing in their mouths.

Aw, I love Sera. Her perspective could be somewhat short-sighted, but I thought it was refreshing. Plus her banter with Blackwall is hilarious.

Solas is the only companion I don't care much for. Dalish and "elfy" lore in general tends to be very hit or miss with me, and Solas' role was a miss. I don't find him terribly sympathetic and his condescending attitude, no matter how much it might be justified, is incredibly off-putting.

Most annoying -- not hated -- is Vivienne.  She has valid points about mages but is just over-the-top in how she expresses herself.  She's the only character who's so stuck up she actually seems to look down on the IQ. If she had been part of the original Inquisition team, it's hard to see yielding power to the IQ the way Cassandra, Cullen, and Leliana do.

For the most part, people I tend to leave behind are the ones who suffer from the "wimp factor":   Cole, Iron Bull, and Dorian.  I like playing in real time as the IQ and prefer not having to micromanage the rest of the team.  The Three Stooges always die quickly when I do that.  If I select those three for my team, I'm effectively solo-ing.

Also -- in terms of annoyance -- I find certain combos are not good.  Sera and Blackwall are insufferable together.  Also Iron Bull and Solas are antagonistic most of the game and better kept apart.

I greatly prefer having Sera in the group when I also have Solas. With Cassandra and sometimes Varric, he can be a bit too goody-goody. With Sera, it's more playful but definitely one-sided since she's generally being flippant and making fun of elves, plus it will occasionally reveal his arrogance. With Vivi, Blackwall Bull and sometimes Dorian it can be kind of sour.

Sera bugged me at first, until I needed her Jar of Bees.

Hate is a strong word. But I strongly dislike the Chancellor, Vivienne (though her Knight Enchanter is just a must for fighting dragons.) And MORRIGAN! You think you know more about being Elven than me? Scoff!

Also, Blackwall....I mean Borewall.
