I've tried looking up everywhere what getting all pieces of a mosaic means but have yet to get an answer. Does getting all pieces of a mosaic get you anything cool like a new weapon or armor? Is it worthless or just for completionists?
Mosaics, are they worth it?

They show up on the walls. That's worth it for some people. It shoulld be noted that as of the last time I checked, some of them are glitched and counted wrong, making completing them impossible.

It seems like some of them are spread across multiple zones, making completion kind of difficult

But what else? Do you get a weapon, new armor, codex entries? Or is it just a completionist thing?

If you have OCD, it's worth it.

I completed one of the sets, and as far as I know all it did was add a codex entry. Not sure if something more happens if you complete them all.

Mirror, mirror does that better

You can't even see what's going on in the murals since they are engraved in shiny brass or something. Not worth it.

All you get is a codex entry for them after you complete a set and talk to the Dwarf. It is unknown if you get something else for completing them all for The Fall is currently bugged with one being in a place that looks like we shouldn't have access too and another that hasn't be found. Other then that I have completed three of the sets while adventuring and need to go back to the Hissing Wastes to find the two pieces I am missing of the one that is found there since I sped through there the first time through.
There is a minor bug with the one in the Western Approach too, if you kill the high dragon the cave doesn't always open, but have a warrior with Hook Shot (I believe its called) and it will break the obstacle blocking the entrance.

I kind of want to finish them, but I haven't been able to as yet - heh. For me, the codex entries and the wall art for my fortress are reward enough. If you're looking for actual gear as a reward, that's not happening.

No...... Just codex entries. I think they were just added to make us search in places we might skip and to make the game "longer".
Just finished my 5th run thru and ignored them and the shards. So much less aggravation.

I got a Codex entry for completing one.
But as stated, right now it's literally impossible to get them all, as one of the pieces is bugged and can't be collected.

Oh wow. I envy your ability to just ignore those. I cant bring myself to do that.
Mosaics, however, are completely worthless. Frankly the only thing that would make those almost worth it is if my Inquisitor got a threesome for each set he completed.

Just another example of the bad game design by Bioware. Talk about pointless filler crap.

Is there any way to find the mosaic pieces without a guide?
I don't get any icons for them on my map, so it seems like if you miss one when you're first exploring an area, it would be impossible to find...

Good to know that collecting these things are pointless. Now I will ignore them in all my future games.

Best to avoid picking the damn things up in the first place so you don't get stuck with half completed mosaics uglifying your walls

^ It's debatable if the walls are even remotely beautiful to look at, even WITHOUT mosaics adoring them! ![]()

90% of the optional content in this game isn't worth it.

This is actually not a bad idea at all.

I wouldn't put it at 90%, but it's definitely a lot.
