Better textures and lighting + all DLC. Doubtful that there would be any new content, since that falls outside what remasters usually contain.

Make all three games use the overheat weapon system from ME1 instead of the boring ammunition mechanic from ME2 or ME3.

Conceptually I don't have a problem with heat sinks, as they would technically do as advertised: quickly cool down the weapon so it can resume firing. What makes the most sense story-wise (we all know heat sinks were merely a gameplay convention, and an understandable one at that, even if they didn't make sense in-universe) is to have both.

Weapons overheat, so in order to bypass that -- to dump a lot of heat quickly -- you toss one of your limited supply of heat sinks. You can always, ala ME1, wait for the weapon to cool down, but if you've got the sinks you have the option of using one to get back in the fight. To balance this duality, they could make the heat dissipation take longer -- thirty seconds to cool back down, say, which is also more realistic.

There are already some threads about this but I just saw Aaryn Flynns post on Neogaf and figured we needed a thread where all the fans can post their ideas for a remastered Edition

Please be realistic folks I read something about a complete overhaul of Priority Earth and ME3 combat for the previous games, with wishes like that you will be disappointed for sure

Its very strange that Aaryn Flynn didn't post something like this: http://www.neogaf.co...&postcount=3216 here..

Apart from better graphics and all DLC's (which if it happens is a sure thing) lets also think about smaller improvements that wouldn't require too much effort (was just thinking about a ME2 like scene before the final mission if the one you romanced isn't on the Normandy for whatever reasons)

What do you think? Hopefully the folks at Bioware will read this and if a remastered Edition happens use some of our ideas!

I'd rather be "disappointed" than staying silent now:

Scrap ME3 completely (!) and change ME2's outcome (and give us options to prepare for the reapers...hell, Shepards sole focus on the Collectors makes him look like a ****** as he (or she) knows that their bosses are just around the corner and while defeating the collectors does help - doing so without preparing for an even bigger fight is really meaningless!) by letting us avoid the damned prison (my Sheppard would never agree to sit idly in prison while politicians waste time that's needed...hell, after breaking away from Cerberus the PC has one of the most modern ships in the Galaxy and no one could catch you if you didn't allow it...oh, and as the ship is now private property: Why would my character hand it over to the Alliance? - Hell no, that's my baby - you are not painting it in Alliance colors and start installing stupid **** no one needs and makes the ship feel cramped....-.-)

So yeah, don't just re-master it:

Re-Make it and stay closer to the original vision and story (don't go all action and forced/automatic dialogue (lines I didn't order my character to say should not be in the game!))

Oh and dump the class system - make us able to play true hybrid characters (the only realy decision being: Is your character a biotic or not?)

*snip*

None of that is going to happen, Bioware aren't going to remake ME3 (or ME1/2 for that matter) anytime soon the ME trilogy that we got is the same one that will be remastered for X1/PS4. Also remasters generally don't sell much and don't have big budgets for developing them since most of assets already exist, the bear minimum will be improved textures and all the DLC, expecting new story content will only result in disappointment.

I just heard about the talk going on about remastering the Mass Effect trilogy and I absolutely would love it if Bioware did this. Beyond what has already been thrown out as ideas (graphics, seamless/organic play, etc..) I have a few ideas if like to throw out as well.

I'll start off simple because that just seems more realistic, so here goes:

1. Bring back the elevators. I know you're thinking, "gasp! How dare she?!" But hear me out. ME1 had something going there. Instead of death by loading screen, the game went on even though it was illusory. Throw in more dialogue or more news casts and maybe even the ability to make Shepherd run around pointlessly. Oh, and make it appear as though the elevator is moving faster. It is science fiction after all, no reason the elevator should be propelled by an Elcor hamster.

2. The ability to skip theatric scenes. Don't get me wrong, love the story but while playing insanity (especially in ME1), I would walk out of the room just to avoid seeing the same scene over and over. It's mostly my fault for not strategically saving but come on. I love Mass Effect, don't make me desensitize myself to its awesomeness! Please?

3. Oh and along the same line, if I have to skip through dialogue, I'd really like to avoid selecting an unintentional choice because I pressed the button at the wrong time or too fast. I mean, how do you rationalize punching poor Manuel in the face? Or Sparta kicking someone out of a window to their death? (That one was actually amusing) but you get my point. I accidentally shot Wrex...I'm traumatized. Maybe map the select and skip commands to different buttons? Not sure how hard that would be but it seems simple (says the programming illiterate fan-girl).

4. Female Krogan and Turian NPCs please. I can't take credit for this idea but I can't remember where I read it sooo...thank you whoever you are. The NPC's don't have to interact with Shephard. They simply have to exist, sprinkled among the scenery. It would be awesome if you could interact with them but that would involve adding content which is not necessarily what Bioware is aiming for. Remaster; not remake. Though I'd be cool with that also.

5. If we're aiming for an organic/seamless feel I truly think remastering the music would be a great help. I absolutely loved the sound of ME3. If Bioware just sprinkled in some of that music in with the old, it'd help I think. Of course new music would be great too (especially if using the same composer as ME3). *wink wink nudge nudge*

6. More character creation options pretty please. If I'm going to play hundreds more hours on a remaster, my Shepard better be perfect (for me). Lots of options with attention to hairstyles that aren't completely blah. My particular favorite was the sexy hair that some NPC's had in ME2, it sort of had a wet look to it. Anyway, I'd love to have that as an option in the creator.it would also be neat to add a surgical tool in the infirmary that allows you to alter your appearance at will.

Now I think I'm treading into complicated territory because it has to do with game mechanics. A big part of me realizes just how unrealistic these requests are but I'm going to put them down anyway. I also acknowledge that not everyone would agree with changes such as these so hopefully I don't invite any nerd rage. *crosses fingers*

7. Decrypting and hacking mini games. Absolutely loved how Bioware went about it in ME2. I suppose that's because it had and immersive aspect to it while ME1 reminded me I had a controller in my hand and ME3 didn't require me to do anything but stand there and mash A. I'm not saying ME2 did it perfect but definitely the best out of the three. I'd love to see something like what they had in Dead Space 2. Not exactly of course, but some derivative of rotating the joystick then pressing another button to select the correct code or wire or whatever is applicable. Maybe just a more immersive omnitool interface would be great for the immersion.

8. ME1 combat. I know, I know! They already said how much work it would be and how it's not even a consideration, but I'm not asking for a overhaul to emulate ME2 or ME3 (as cool as that would be). I'm more thinking along the lines of softening some edges. Such as cover. Getting in and out of cover is just not as smooth as it could be, nor is using powers from cover. Shepard just hangs out there for a second as if he/she is waiting to get shot. Another example is the melee attacks if an enemy gets in range. Would it be hard to animate it a little better? Once again I probably don't realize exactly how much work that would be so I apologize if I'm wishing for the impossible.

Now for the story section. I'm all down for integrating all the dlc in way that it feels part of the whole game, but here's a couple more thoughts.

9. More romance options but only in a way that stays true to the characters. Take Jack for instance. We know she's bisexual. She even brings it up in conversation but alas you can't romance her as a female. What gives? And then there is Tali. She straight up told my female Shepard in ME2 that she was the only one she trusted enough to "link" up with. It was cute as hell and I thought they were going to follow through with it in ME3 but they didn't. Broke my infiltrator's heart :(. I could bring up Ashley too but I really do feel she seems more like a straight arrow. I'm not asking to change characters into something they're not, just follow through with what's there...like the unused audio files that support the idea of other romance options. Tali and Jack seem the most obvious but that's just my take on it. I'm sure others will disagree. So, out of respect, make Shephard the one who has to instigate the romance. Don't want to think of them as an option? Don't flirt with them. That way it can stay completely platonic if you so choose.

10. More side dialogue please! I don't know how feasible this is since you have to get the voice actors to record more lines, but I know it would be appreciated by us fans. The interactions between my party members and Shepard always made me smile. It gave them life. We could always use more life. It'd be great if it could be done for all three games too.

11. Add in some story plots that tie into 'ME4'. Doesn't need to be much. A data pad or two. An email. Random dialogue here or there. That sort of thing. Or one last DLC that bridges the gap.

12. Speaking of gaps. If we want the games to feel fluid and organic, adding missions in between the games might help. Or even just a few scenes showing the ME2 crew disbanding and Shephard turning him/herself into the alliance and meeting Vega. Maybe add in a few geth hunting missions before the Normandy gets blown up and Shephard dies. Something along those lines would certainly help with the flow.

13. Adding in some dialogue that hinted to your choice of class would be nice. Not necessary but nice. Maybe even a short mission tailored for your specialty.

14. This may not belong under the story category but add some things that Shepard can interact with on the Normandy. Like the punching bag. I so wanted to give it hell a few times but sadly could not. Bring back the trash compactor cubes if you won't give me that :/.

15. And finally (for now), add some scenes in ME3 where you see your war assets in action. It would have felt more personal that way. I'm not asking for the ending to change. Just add to it so it's more epic. Maybe even animate scenes for the epilogue instead of having panning stills. Depending on what ending you choose, have an extra scene where Shepard somehow has closure with his/her crew mates. Destruction: Shephard's supposedly not dead so there is room to play. Control: Shephard's mind is still present and able to communicate. Synthesis:Shephard could be everywhere as it makes sense that he/she could be part of everything and everyone. Creepy but cool...

So that's all I have for now. I know it's long and I doubt many devoured the wall of text but thanks to those of you that did. Let me know what you think. Feel free to steal my ideas and spread them around like the plague XD.

New game plus could be improved simply right?

ME1: Give the ability to change appearance/gender, psych profile, history, and class.

ME2: Give ability to change history and psych profile. Keep all upgrades,ALL weapons, resources, credits, and renegade/paragon points from last play through.

ME3: Give ability to change class, history, and psych profile.

Increase the level cap (for player and NPCs) and and another difficulty level to all games, especially ME3. Call it "N7 Elite" or something awesome...maybe "Akuze has got nothing on this!"

If additional talents/ abilities would be too much work to add, let each level come with a bonus we could choose like increased weapon/power damage, decrease cool down time, increase armor/barrier. It would just be a percent change. Can't imagine it'd be too difficult.

I'm not counting on much, but this and stuff like broken Zaeed dialogues in the Citadel refugee docks, or Legion crashing the game if he's used in Overload DLC would be nice if got fixed, they're some of the more glaring issues.

And if we can get even 1 modification to ME1 inventory system, then plase, at the very least collapse duplicate objects, it would improve the inventory instantly.

Also remasters generally don't sell much

If they're released at bad moment and/or with zero marketing then yeah. But otherwise? God of War Collection pushed over 2 million leading to GOW3 release. Master Chief Collection is selling great thx to incoming Halo 5 release. Even Tomb Raider Definitive Edition which any1 can buy for dirt cheap on PC is selling great on PS4/Xbone. Capcom just announced that Resident Evil HD remaster is their fastest-selling digital title ever. Not to even mention The Last of Us or GTA5 which are pushing stupid numbers on new consoles.

Remasters are bigger than ever if anything, everyone's doing them. EA is just late as usual.

This always irked the hell out of me. There was a thread regarding this specific issue on the old forums that a small group of us kept alive because it just felt like it would've been a logical patch for Bioware to implement. I will never understand why Bioware would not let their intended work be seen due to an inconvenient bug. This coupled by the fact that I sorta liked the visualized scenes and without them it just looks like Shepard is zoning out into la la land.

I didn't know that but somehow it doesn't surprise me much. It reminds me of DA Awakenings that never recognized equipment coming from other DLCs ( except from Return to Ostagar and Leliana's song). If your character was fully equipped with those, you would start Awakening in the middle of a fight buck naked without weapons. It was never patched.

Two big ones:

All DLC should be available, but still let us pick and choose which ones we want to activate and when.

For ME1, switch to the ME2/3 system of unlocking blue and red dialogue choices based on percentage of available points to date, rather than on strict Charm/Intimidate point allocations (so that you don't, for example, need 10 points to talk down Ethan Jeong if you do Feros early in the game).

Realistically, just improve textures, fix the bugs, reduce load times, and include ALL the DLC across all three games.

Outside of that, I'd like to see the ME3 default FemShep included in ME1 and 2.

Fix the bugs, Improve textures, improve some camera angles in some sections on all games(If there are any that needs to be changed), Garrus fixed dialogue in ME3 (There are some that are cut while he is talking aboard the Normandy) and let you select the Squadmate ONLY when finishing his conversation, it can be a pain in the back sometimes, when for example, Characters take long too answer, but are still in conversation and you can't notice, thus skipping the whole rest of it.

Oh, and get the Cut Codex Entries in-ME2, like Thermal Clips and Drell (Which was later implemented in ME3)

Edit: Oh, and please fix the Normandy lighting in ME3... I know it's still unfinished due to retrofits, but the light is weak in power (which shouldn't be) and FIX the Cerberus Clothing appearing in:

1)Shepard is wearing Cerberus Clothing in the Main Menu Background... (You can see it before the "Computers" open)

2) Shepard is wearing ME3 Cerberus clothing when Legion remembers his encounter with Shepard, not ME2 Cerberus Clothing.

... and the Sopranos ending, and the Battlestar Galactica ending, and the LOST ending, and the How I Met Your Mother ending, and the Seinfeld ending, and the yadda yadda yadda. You'll always find hate for series finales of popular things.

I can vouch for a couple of those. For all of their many many flaws there was enough emotional payoff at the end of Battlestar Galactica and HIMYM for me to enjoy it.

On point what I'd like to see is HD+ textures, all the story DLC on disk, and for a number of people on this thread to have more realistic expectations for the port!

I mean seriously, I can't believe anyone would seriously expect them to redesign the game. Fixing common bugs like sound dropouts is not outside the realms of possibility but some of the other stuff, come on guys...
