IMHO Mass Effect's combat is "bad" mostly because of the very notable dip the framerate takes when you engage; once bullets start flying, exposions start setting off and powers start being unleashed it practically becomes unbearable: aiming becomes almost imposible so fighting in realtime is a no-no; movement is greatly hampered as well; so I think that a good framerate makeover would greatly benefit ME1's combat without having to actually overhaul it, because honesty, fighting in ME1 can get pretty intense and I like the fact that it's stat based, makes you feel you're actually playing an RPG... for what that's worth...

Started a thread not realizing one existed.

Personally like the idea of an ME trilogy with updated graphics but am also inclined to think they need to add a bit more.  (Let's just forget about a revamped ending cause it ain't gonna happen.)

Here are my hopes (some realistic and some probably not so much.)

Re-balanced combat  throughout 3 games and a difficulty setting above Insanity for ME3 - you know Spectre difficulty.

Fix visual glitches such as those seen in the Omega DLC.  I don't mind paying 15$ for a DLC...and I realize occasional glitches are to be expected, but it is disappointing that they are left unfixed (maybe that's just a PC issue?)

ME2 romances available for cuddle time on Normandy before ME3 final mission.

Add a series of small missions in each of the 3 games; each a self contained story separate from the larger story.  Maybe in ME3 take some of those inane planet scanning "missions" and turn them into actual combat missions.

Add a couple cutscenes depicting war assets kicking azz on and above Earth.

A romanced Tali revealing her face in game.

A beefed up Mako in ME1.

A Shep with spacer background actually getting some face time with mom.

I would absolutely kill to be able to use cover and roll like ME3 throughout all the games, but that's probably pushing the bounds of what could be done.

There are a few things I would want added those things are:

1: better textures This is the first thing I can think of, if they could use the DAI engine I would love it.

2: Make the mako in me1 better, I absolutely hated the controls with it

3: the scanning could be made better in me2 and 3

4: why not just add nudity into the game like inquisition has? If you remove the gear then the characters will be naked. There could be a on/off option in the menu screen if you do not want it.

5: More blood and gore, these games are brutal and some dismemberment is expected and like the nude thing this could also be toggled on or off.

Some more things I want =)

6: Includes all the DLC

7: Having 3 companions instead of 2

8: the infiltrator gets the "adrenaline rush" ability cause that ability is the only reason that I can use snipers in this game

9: More customization

10: Seeing Tali on the ship WITHOUT her mask on, like walking around without it

ME1 :

Make all classes and difficulties available from the start. Experiencing the insanity difficulty before my third playthrough would be nice.

No hacking.

Allow me to change class in NG+.

ME2:

NO HACKING. ME1's was tedious, but this is just insufferable.

No planet scanning. There is zero fun in planet scanning.

Fix the useless NG+, which is harder and slower than a normal game. Make it so I don't havet to collect the upgrades all over again.

Again, allow me to change class in NG+.

Make the Hammerhead more durable, especially on the insanity difficulty, which is just ridiculous.

Make the Paragon/Renegade points less important for certain plot points. I would LOVE to play a morally gray Shepard, but the price to pay (Miranda OR Jack, Tali OR Legion), for me, is too high.

ME3:

Allow me to change class in NG+.

Allow me to upgrade guns to level X on my first playthrough.

War assets in action.

And of course, a final boss would be nice.

I would like it if they used an un-Reaperized model for Saren until the appropriate time. That would make a big difference cinematically.

Would like to be able to play as the default ME3 FemShep in the first two games.

Yuck. Why?

A few small, nitpicky things not many people have brought up:

-Allow us to walk around the Citadel and other friendly places in our casual clothes in ME1 and ME2. I feel a little overdressed going shopping for fish when I'm dressed like I'm expecting a geth army to walk around the corner.

-An updated and consistent character creator across all three games. It would be much nicer if we had the same options through the whole trilogy, and some new features, hairstyles and colours would be good!

-I don't think many will agree here and it's highly unlikely Bioware would do something like this, but I would really like to see reimagined planet surfaces for ME1 instead of just the boring landscapes with no features except mountains and a few copy-pasted bases. Make them interesting instead of having them look like a literal sandbox.

-A holster button for ME3.

-More credits in ME2.

-Give guns in ME1 more unique appearances instead of just different colours.

-Give armours in ME1 a visual overhaul to look more like ME2's and 3's armour sets.

I only agree with these points you made (except one), especially the Hammerhead. That thing is as weak as wet tissue paper, and it would be even better if we could save at some point in the mission instead of having to restart each time we die.

Disagree about planet scanning, I quite like it personally. I know lots of people don't but it's better than driving for miles and miles in the bloody Mako just to scan a rock. I liked scanning for stuff and playing the "hot and cold" game, and sometimes even finding a signal to start a mission. At least make it less tedious by either reducing the amount of resources we need for upgrades, or increase the amount of resources we recieve from each successful probe.

Odd number one request for ME1: PLEASE, let us play around the galaxy AFTER we foil Saren/Sovereign's plan.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. We would have to wait for the Mako to be repaired first since it got damaged crashing on the Citadel after going through the conduit

Yuck. Why?

Because if you go with the default Fem-Shep through ME1 and ME2 it is really disconcerting and immersion breaking to see whatever that thing was they used to replace her...(shutters.)

There is a preset that looks very similar to ME1 and 2's default femshep, I tinkered around with it to make it resemble her more.

I kind of like ME3's default femshep though =]

Default FemShep looked like a Plain Jane in ME1&2 which was bad enough but then they turned her into a fraggle for 3. They should've gone with  a face model. She never looked like a real person to me (like Ashley/Kaidan/Miranda etc.)

When you compare default in-game ME3 FemShep to the artwork they used for that poll it's like a bait and switch.

Maybe i'm easy to please, but being able to download the entire trilogy with all the DLC in one go would be all I want - I already own the games on PC so being able to play in 1080p/60fps means nothing to me. I do think this would be a good opportunity for them to rework the character creator so things more consistently translate for those that had issues (I never had any problems). Also one universal settings file for all 3 games would be nice on PC instead of digging in folders for them for each game, I never could get ME1 to work right with a custom resolution (worked just fine in both ME2 & 3). Also a separate multiplayer executable would be nice as well.

If I had to change something about the first game I would make the cover mechanic button-activated, other than that stuff like improving graphics would require a huge overhaul and not really worth it.

I agree, default female Shepard in ME3 wasn't ugly, just wasnt.....my type. I dont mean that in a romantic/attractiveness way, I just mean that in a manner of how she looks too default.

Someone like this female Shepard is someone I normally try to create:

I wonder how many FemShep players use the default.  Seems very, very small.

If any event, it wouldn't be a bad idea to tweak Jane's appearance back towards how she looked in ME1/2.

Is that based on actual data or just impressions?  Regardless it shouldn't be done.

What I'd really like to know was the ME3 version focus tested at all?  I get they were trying to attract new players which was evident by Ash's extreme super model makeover, but that hideous creation was the best they could come up with?  Good God just awful.

Impressions. I see next to no discussion about default FemShep, except when people snipe at ME3's.

In fact, I typically see people state they stick with default BroShep and customize FemShep, mostly because it's tricky to create a decent BroShep in ME1's CC.

Jeez, it's not that bad, and there are people who do feel the opposite.

Or they could just make her look like she does on the freakin' cover of the game. Sheploo looks exactly like the cover, but FemShep is a bait and switch. They advertise a model but deliver the kid from Mask.

I always found making broshep look like Shaft the easiest and best customized male PC in ME1.  B)

Definitely an exaggeration, but knock yourself out with that.

Personally, since I customize every Shep, I couldn't care less.

I actually think defualt Jane in ME3 is quite pretty, but like mrjack mentioned, she doesn't seem like a real person. Something is just off with her proportions that make her look a bit cartoony. Also her mouth is too far down...

Still better than the ME1/2 Jane though, it always bugged me how Sheploo was the hotness and default Jane was a complete dog...

Anyway, what i would want but probably would be too much work:

ME3 gameplay for all 3 games(though i guess that would take away abit of their identity and charm)

Complete remake of Priority:Earth

Previous choices intigrated better, say if you kill the Rachni Queen you get a diffirent mission and Elcor as the atillery unit instead of Rachni.

Some of the ME3 fetch quests as actual missions, bonus if they use the Mako

Completely remake the Hammerhead mission into something fun

Stuff that's abit more grounded:

Enhanced graphics

Less spaztic ME1 enemies

ME1 enemies that shut the **** up once in awhile

Intigration of cut content

Intigration of all DLC

A Mako that dosen't handle like a runaway shopping cart on an oilslick

Bug fixes, no more getting stuck in cockpits and Liara ninjamancing

Less wonky cover mechanic in ME2, if i'm close to cover and press space, i wanto go into cover..ok?

Beeing able to seamlessly continue after completing the frist 2 games

No more hacking mini-games, or less awful ones

Money harder to come by in ME1, failing that...a gameplay option to "make it rain"

I loved default FemShep in ME 3.  Haters, gonna hate.
