I forgot to mention the most important consideration, in my view:

CROSS-PLATFORM ME3 MULTIPLAYER.

It's far more likely that MP wouldn't be included at all. MP-support ended 2 years ago and there is a new ME game coming out in the near future.

They ended support a year after release? Or do you just mean they stopped releasing new content? I don't play MP, but if I did, I'd be pretty miffed if after a year, it all went t-ts up and EA were like "We no longer support this product. Goodbye."

Aside from Master Flynn's list, there are two things that need to be done in order for me to buy the stuff. Namely No Planet Scanning and ME1 combat mechanics overhaul.

No new content, no new patches, no more weekend challenges.

You can still play it just fine but there is no active developer support. Bioware promised and budgeted 1 year of post-launch support.

Considering that MP was a huge success and allegedly made more money through micro-transactions in one week than was planned for the whole first year, support will probably be better for the next game.

Why would be cross-platform be so important to you?

And as far as I have heard it's not an easy thing to do, especially between xbox and playstation, for hardware and legal reasons.

I was primarily thinking about PC-to-Xbox via Windows 10's Xbox Live features. Sorry, guess I should have been more specific.

I don't know about cross-platform, but I like to have the ability to move my 360 manifest across different platforms. Moving it from 360 to XBone shouldn't be a problem since Borderlands did it. I don't know if moving it to PC or Sony would be possible, though.

I agree with what people have said about getting rid of mini games and smoother combat for me1.

I am not a programmer so I am not sure how difficult these things would be but:

Would it be possible to implement some sort of extra hard mode similar to laso mode in halo? Would be a fun new challenge to have if possible.

I know an overhaul of the me3 ending isn't practical (I didn't mind it) but would it be possible to have a bit more of a closed ending, particularly for the choice where Shepard lives? Maybe just the happy ending mod or even being able to move the citadel dlc to after the last mission sort of a celebratory party for winning the war? Even just a flash forward a few years for each of the endings would be cool just to see how everything turned out.

I also liked the idea of some sort of romance scene before the last level if you are with someone who isn't in the Normandy crew in me3.

I also like the idea of making mining easier/gone in me2.

Would it be possible to add tail as a romance option in me1? That'd be nice too even though I don't usually romance her lol

Well I'm not sure how plausible any of this would be or if these are just terrible ideas but I'd love an updated trilogy with some of the tedious aspects (mining, mini games) gone or way faster like in me3.

Also an excellent point.

It sounds like it might be doable if your Origin ID, Xbox Gamertag and PSN ID are all registered under the same Bioware Social Network account.

More specifically, after merging two Origin accounts with the help of EA Customer Service, I used Dragon Age Keep to import my Dragon Age Origins + Dragon Age II gamesave/gamestate data from my Xbox 360 into a custom World State.

I then double-checked its Tapestry to ensure there were no discrepancies between it and what the key decisions that I made were in my DA1 + DA2 campaigns.

Finally, after confirming everything was as it should be, I exported the aforementioned World State to all sub-accounts, and this made it possible for me to import it into both my PS4 and PC copies of Dragon Age Inquisition - again, no discrepancies at all, which was a huge relief.

The point I'm trying to make is that Bioware could probably do something similar for the Mass Effect trilogy for those of us who are looking to migrate the necessary data to another platform.  The biggest challenge for them would probably be Mass Effect 1, as I don't recall it having a direct connection option to the Bioware Social Network.  On the other hand, ME2/ME3 and DAO/DA2/DAI obviously do.

Just how they'd get around this issue, I can't say for sure, but perhaps it would be implemented in the form of a very belated ME1 patch.  That or, since ME1 doesn't have a MP mode, they'd probably just ask players to manually input the choices they made with respect to the game's narrative (e.g. did Kaidan Alenko or Ashley Williams survive on Virmire), in which case it would then be the easiest of the three to implement, but I digress.

The Mass Effect trilogy never gets old for me.  Although not perfect (but what is?), it is so well done in my opinion; so immersive; so memorable and emotionally gripping, that I absolutely consider it the original Star Wars trilogy (episodes IV/V/VI) of gaming, and I'm sure I'm not alone in my love for the franchise.  Sorry, I know this is completely off-topic - I'll shut up now, good day and happy gaming :-)
