If they don't remaster ME1/ME2 combat with ME3's then I would rather not have a remaster and have all the effort go into the next Mass Effect.

If they do remaster the trilogy; This is what it needs for me to purchase (again)

1. Re-do ME1/ME2's combat with ME3's (ME2's shouldn't be difficult but ME1's would require a complete overhaul)
2. Updated graphics
3. All DLCs included
4. Bring the remastered trilogy to PC (I won't be buying a PS4/XBone)

OR

Just focus on the next Mass Effect game and I'll definitely buy it. I don't know about you but this is my preferred option.

The remaster need not even be done in house by BioWare. I believe these types of jobs are often contracted out to smaller studios.

Upgrading to better textures is something you see in a remaster. Textures are something the dev drops over the existing framework. They are simply curtains and decor, not part of the home itself.

Overhauling combat mechanics, or other major gameplay features, would require a complete redevelopment of the game, if I'm not mistaken. As much as I wish I could have ME3 gameplay across the series, that's not feasible without rebuilding the first two games. We're not likely see that in this decade, if ever.

Not happening bioware clearly said they are done with anything ending related after EC.

Adding more content to an already existing game and adding content when you are re-releasing a "remastered" version that same game is not the same, but you do have a point.

Adding the type of content many keep mentioning would require all out development work, far beyond what a remaster generally entails.

they could have done something like an enhanced edition for Mass Effect (like The Witcher 1+2) but I suppose not every developer is like CDPR

The Witcher 2 the last act felt rushed so they added new quests and expanded the ending

This would've been awesome. The problem was that people didn't clamor for an expanded final act, they wanted a complete rewrite of the ending. I think if we'd seen a campaign for a fleshed out Priority: Earth, or whatnot, we'd have gotten it. BioWare has a history of responding to player feedback. Unfortunately, the ending was so shockingly poor that it received nearly all of the attention. BioWare was backed into a corner, and compromised by giving us the EC. I'll always wonder what might have been, had they been able to stay on schedule with development and finish this game properly.

I would be happy enough with non-fixed trilogy with all DLCs if I only could play them all on PS4. Better textures and some gameplay improvements would be nice though ;) I would be even more happy with additional happy ending.. But simply the whole trilogy with all DLCs is something that I would spend my money on.

I hope they do this "remaster", or whatever. And do it soon. As soon as I got my Xbox One, my 360 disc player completely broke. I still have the digital downloads for other games.

There's no ME games on xbox market for digi download, though. None. Well, except ME1. So, basically I cannot play this game trilogy again unless I buy a new old 360........

I'd like to see a remastered  trilogy offering with all DLC's. At a reasonable price.

Adding more content to a remastered version that isn't in the original release is going to be expensive even if its going to be a few cut scenes. Adding all the DLC will be costly as it is, not to mention that the game is nearly three years old and Bioware has stopped releasing content for ME3 after the release of the CItadel DLC.

a redone ending is the most requested change for the entire trilogy, i think. and rightly so, the end of the trilogy has prevented me from replaying the game completely twice now. i just really cant stand it. and the more i think about the end the worse it gets.

actually the whole story in mass effect 3 is kinda bad. who in their right mind would put that much faith in a supposed super-weapon when the effect of it is completely unknown. it boggles the mind. but i digress, yes i would like a new ending, but not to replace the ending that is. the way MEHEM does it is kinda genius, you get an email chain that tells about how there is an AI embedded in the crucible that is potentially malicious would you like to remove it. just add this as a subplot that you can follow to get the MEHEM ending to get that ending. if not followed up on you would get the original endings.

this is unrealistic, but i would like to have accsess to it on consoles.

I strongly believe the allotted budget for this remaster will be insufficient to develop brand new sequences. Anyone hoping for a revamped finale is extremely likely to be disappointed.

Bioware said several times that the EC is the only ending related content they'll do. Not to mention they're sticking with their guns the current endings we've got (like them or not) is how they wanted it to end.

To be frank I don't feel any pity for them, they knew that they'll be no new content (ending or otherwise) after the release of the Citadel DLC especially since the game is nearly three years old. Most people by now have accept the endings for what they are and moved on.

I want to see the "remastered trilogy" of games have better graphics, frame-rate, the works. All the DLC, maybe the soundtrack for all three games? That would be for $59.99USD. I know, it seems like a lot for just $59.99USD, but Halo: The Master Chief Collection done a lot for the same price, so I'm sure EA and BW could pull it off.

This would get us current fans back into the series (if you have not played it in a while) and would bring new fans to the series, so they know the universe before the next ME comes out.

Besides the better textures, and all DLC's:

1. Allow re-training the companions in ME2.

2. Increase mining hauls in ME2.

3. Throw in all the deleted scenes; video and audio we see floating around the next. Include them in an "Extras" section. Much like films  do.

Damn.. here I am in the middle of playing DAI and now I wanna replay ME series. Yet again!

I want an improved character creator. That's pretty much it. I'd love a lot of other things, but this is the one thing that I can reasonably say should be the easiest to implement.

Not going to happen, and mostly irrelevant, but I want Emily Wong back.

Every time I see Jessica Chobot Diana show I think, "It's your fault Emily's dead."

Yeah she had the dumbest death ever. They might as well have just tweeted that she slipped on a bar of omni-soap in the shower.

1) allow us to play the ME3 intro and Mars mission with a different casual outfit and a custom armor

2) fix the ME3 journal

3) allow us to immediately pass through the scanner after exiting the war room in ME3. It's very annoying to wait like that after every mission

4) Veteran difficulty in ME3, where Shepard deals Hardcore damage against enemies but receives Normal damage

5) more face customization options in all three games -- at least add more hairstyles, beards and bring back the ME1 scars

6) all DLCs should be available, including the pre-order bonuses and the Collector's Edition DLCs (except for the mech dog)

7) all multiplayer weapons and armors should be in singleplayer. Why no Phoenix armor for Shepard? Maybe make all multiplayer powers available as bonus powers for Shepard.

8) more unique outfits and armor customizations in ME2 and ME3. Also, don't just provide the armors in one piece, split every available armor into parts so we can customize however we want. And make it possible to customize the colour of the visor.

9) Remove Shepard always carrying the M-8 Avenger during cutscenes. Or at least make Shepard carry the M-7 Lancer instead.

10) allow us to listen to any ME soundtrack in Shepard's cabin

11) batarian gauntlet heavy melee attack for Shepard

12) it's not possible to reset Javik's powers. Fix this.

13) allow powers to stay active during cutscenes in ME3, just like in ME1 and ME2

14) extra armor outfits for all squadmates in ME2 and ME3. Why doesn't everyone have a helmet and full body armor? This always annoys me. Javik doesn't have a helmet, his knees and fingers are exposed. Please change this. Samara is one of my favorite characters, but I hardly used her because of the high heels and exposed body. Just give her the Justicar armor from multiplayer and I'll be very satisfied.

15) in ME1, when looking at Earth from the surface of the moon, the image of North America is reversed. Fix this.

16) the Armory room from ME2 should be available in ME3

17) enemy bodies should remain instead of disappearing

18) minerals do not import properly as war assets. Fix this.

19) default female Shepard from ME3 should be available in ME1 and ME2

20) give us Oleg Petrovsky's casual outfit, but replace the Cerberus logo with the Alliance logo. Also, why not allow us to wear Cerberus casual outfits if we so desire?

21) allow us to import ME2 squadmate outfits into ME3. If squadmates were wearing the alternate outfit in the imported save, then they should wear that same alternate outfit throughout ME3.

The things I really wish would happen in ME3, but probably won't:

- An ending slide showing a Prothean colony, similar to the one on Ilos, with stasis pods that are still functioning. Implying that many Protheans are still alive and trapped in stasis.

- better walking and running animations.

- Miranda being recruitable after Horizon, and we can choose her instead of EDI for the Cronos mission.

I'd say that the minimum of what would be needed for me to purchase a remastered version at full price would be controller support on PC, solid upgrades to the graphic engines of all three games, and all DLC included. Things that would be possible, but not probable to see, would be to make the combat systems similar across all 3 games to allow for straight-up character imports throughout the series. Small annoyance removals would be nice to see as well, such as improved mako controls, and better planet scanning (ala ME3). ME1 decryption needs to go, too.

As far as absolutely ridiculous things that'll never happen, I'd love to see the Virmire Survivor get a bigger role in ME2. The way they got cut out always bugged me. Enhanced Priority Earth would be nice too, but is equally unlikely to happen. Given that I'm happy with ME3 post EC, I wouldn't see it as being totally necessary either.

Mainly just updated graphics and all DLC being included like with other remastered games. I would keep ME1 and ME2 as they are though apart from that. I prefer how things like combat/gameplay worked in ME2 so changing it to the ME3 style would take away one of the things I liked about it.

@lastpawn - I support that. If I had Emily instead of Diana on the Normandy for ME3, I would of been so happy, and it WOULD OF MADE MORE SENSE! Especially since we worked with her during the previous ME games.

Sigh.
