IMO your rules suck....go play solo if you don't like other peepz messing your game up....It's mp and some of us are just doing it to kill time while the war table time burns in SP.....
Don't need your attitude telling me how to play a stupid run and gun game pretty much...

The thing is who even needs it? Unless ur in a pug on perilous with **** people who cares. Don't hate on people for grabbing it habitually early on, if ur any good you shouldn't need to save it anyway. And you can't blame your skill level on the randoms u match with. If u cant carry your team, ur weak with the character you're playing (most of the time, I know some people draw groups and the DC thru everyone and bring them down unexpectedly)

My point is: if it's a big deal to u to have health 5/5, save ur potions. Maybe your team mates need the pot as they enter 5/5, maybe not, but u don't get to decide what they do. Ultimately you can't always count on your team so you have to be responsible for your own survival. Don't count on anything.

Yeah the font doesn't make or break pugs, it's the not having a plan tor working well together that leads to a team wipe.
Kinda hard to have a plan when BW decided not to but a chat system in their team focused MP mode. The most I can do is yell, "OVER HERE!"

What kinda of promotion-hating n00b has 5/5 health? 
Elitists will kick you if you're not 8/8+ at least!
But yes, i'd say it would be nice for people to not get the Zone-pot if they aren't under say 75% health. Good luck though, most PUG games, the first person to the health-pot gets it, no matter if everyone in the entire team is currently full.
As for in/out of room. Except DC you can safely kite the bosses, while others go (historical) 300 on them, and fight superior numbers in a tight gap, to minimise that advantage.
There's a couple of tile sets where it's tricky to kite the Samson, but mostly it's safe too (unless you're a 5/5 health n00b).
Again good luck,trying to coordinate anything, so unless you can actually solo outside... take your chances inside with the PUGs, no matter what.

No thanks, hate the sound of my voice and am extremely self conscious about it. There is no reason why they couldn't have put a text chat in the game.

Then use a modulator. Not to be a jerk but console games don't have text to chat either.

And that is one of the disadvantages you accept playing on a console. There is no reason why a team based MP mode on PC should not have a text chat.

Oh ok, it's like that? There's no reason a game developer should have to accommodate people with self-esteem issues. Your personal problems are not BioWare's concern.

Except my personal problems aren't the only reason that text chat should be added and there are many other reasons for a player to not want to use it.. The vast majority of PC players communicate via text chat and most even refuse to use voice chat. Hell, BF4, which uses Frostbite like DAI even has text chat, so it is there and BW chose for an unknown reason not to included it in the MP mode they advertised as being very team oriented. Also note, that while consoles do not have text chat, many DO come packaged with a mic, making voice chat much more prevalent on those platforms.

Good point with the Healing Mists- they're very useful. I always try to carry them on my toons, and I actually wish I could buy them specifically from the store.

Thats because console are significantly behind PCs in terms of pretty much everything. Every PC game which requires communication to succeed has this function, but bioware has dumbed down the PC version to be more similar to consoles.

No, they dont, but they should accommodate a function which is pretty standard in PC gaming. I personally really dislike the fact that consoles place a ball and chain on the PC platform because of its shitty hardware and endless limitations, and the lack of text chat just proves this point.

For people saying to use a mic - I mute people the instant I hear any sound that is not the person talking. Which means I seldom hear voice chat. If it's anything like ME3MP (which had push to talk), it's barely used anyway.
Also some of us have sleeping children and don't want to make too much noise while playing...

I'm not "abandoning" anything there Mr. Snarkypost. You guys want to lament the utter woes of the PC gamer playing a multiplayer without text chat be my guest. Or....you could just suck it up and use a mic. I rarely have to play with a mic anyway even being a lowly plebian console gamer.

Demon commander = Grab aggro and kite it / dps it down. Tell the other three guys to clean up the other mobs. Unless you are a reaver... in that case you kill the DC in about 5 seconds.
in 5 seconds DC have jumped up and down 3 times, nice hp on your reaver
