Aside, am I the only one that every time I see the word "particularly", I hear Josephine's lovely Spanish accent saying it?
Probably? But now you've cursed us all.

We could try for an international gaming experience if folks want to share GT/ID, location and platform. Who's in?
Edit to add: RedShirt Quin, Xbox One (for this game), Washington DC.

Hmm, that kind of blows some of my thoughts on regional locks out the window since I am in western Canada.

I have never been matchmade with an American/Canadian/Anyone outside of the EU. But it will happy matchmake me with Germans, french, spanish players; not that I don't like people of these nationalities just that most of the time we don't speak the same language o.o Please give me the option if I want to widen the search to the US.

It's the same on pc.

I see no problem with adding a WAN expansion option to the game, but only if they disable the player's ability to host if they enable it. That would at least protect other puggers from your impending lagfests.
The VPN suggestion was a good chuckle.

The region lock is probably at continental or sub-continental level.

The comedy of this being necro'd is it reminded me of a brief conversation I got to have with Allegra Clark (VA for Josephine), at which time she corrected me that Josephine's accept was derived from Italian, not Spanish. Talk about me feeling silly...

Germans cause monster amounts of lag for me.

Zevran was definitely Spanish sounding. Maybe there are different dialects in Antiva.

Oddly enough I connect better to Americans than pretty much anywhere in that silly continent across the English Channel.

I do not doubt you. I've heard from some East Coast Americans that they have better connection with Western Europeans than they do with West Coast Americans. Transatlantic connection is probably good for the most part.
I personally have an ok connection with at least half of North Americans. However, I can't connect to them when searching for lobbies (except for the rarest occasions).

I agree... I always saw Antiva as being a "Spain" of sorts, and Josephine sounded like she had the Spanish "lisp" I've heard a lot, so I assumed. Obviously I was mistaken.
Fun trivia: Zevran's VA in Inquisition is the voice of the male dwarf Inquisitor. That surprised me when I found out. Also, Luka's VA is (if I remember it correctly) the... wife?... of the VA that did the male Commander Shepard. Small world, yeah?

I think Luka needs her own spinoff game. At least have her in a DLC.

We could call it "Game Over Screen:Luka's Fade Adventures".

I'm in Germany and there are times when I can't find a single game nor people to join my lobby. It's at times like these when I wistfully remember the battlenet WC3 matchmaking system. Those were the days. *sigh*
DAMP's matchmaking system is pure sh*t in comparison.

It's the ultimate troll. Joining session....... The suspense is ramping up, after multiple failures in a row, will it work this time? And yeah, into the lobby! Ready up....... Suspense levels over 9000, great, no voiceover, hello blackscreen, goodbye 2 minutes of my life.
I want to send biower a bill for the wear and tear on my alt and F4 keys.
F*ck knows how awful the lag would be without the apparent ping filtering.

And that is while you are trying to find lobbies from a First World region with a large (perhaps the largest) playerbase.
Players from remote regions suffers the most from the Region-lock because we end up being completed stranded. Bioware for reason must think that not being able to play at all is somehow better than playing with lag.
How I miss the good old ME3 days, when I could land in Russian lobbies in the mornings, Aussie lobbies at late nights.

Its the lack of players. I don't think the matchmaking is even that terrible, there is just so few players playing.

Nope. When I can't find a single game at times when all the murricans start playing, then it means the matchmaking system is terrible. They took something that wasn't exactly great from me3 and managed to make it much worse.
