many times i performed the evade, it ends up back at where i started it, never get away from the spot

 

is it me lagging, or the skill just bugged?

Try the Hook skill with a lag, or even without it. It's hilariously useless - you are supposed to pull the target to your character and the enemy ends up a few meters away from you, so your character kicks air if you got the upgrade.

I've heard people complain about this off-host, but I've never had any issues. I usually lag quite a bit too.
