First off, just wanna start by saying THIS GAME IS AWESOME! best i've played in years! i'll get to the full feedback once i've finished the game. But for nowsies, the hairstyles. The hairstyles in this game are just...well they are just abysmal. Like, they look like they all all from the 80s or something. Where are the long beautiful elven braids? where is Malcolm's roman-style hair. where his the long hair at all? even cassandra has a awesome leonidas-style hairstyle we can't use!

The hairstyles has to be the most disapointing part of this game, to be honest. I mean, i don't understand how Bioware looked at them and thought "Great! people are gonna love 'em"

I thought i heard there will be more added in the future, which is great - but for now? awful. just awful. If we are going to get some new hairstyles, i personally want:

-Malcolm's short roman-style hair

-Duncan's/Anders' tied back hairstyle

-Cassandra's Leonidas hairstyle

-Long elven braids, like Thranduil and Legolas from LOTR

they would be awesome, in my opinion. Anyway, yeah, bloody LOVING the game so far (level 16) GOTY 2014 hopefully.

Actually it seems like BW can't animate long hair due to clipping problems.

 

That said I agree with this. Hair seems to be one of weakest part of game. In CC everything looks awesome and then there is hair which seems to be much lower resolution than skin and all other parts of it (except beards but they are hair too ^^). The situation is even worse to low graphic PC's and old gen consoles.

I must admit - hordes of bald elves are somewhat innovative. However i'd better stay at traditional long elvish hair if i am Bioware.

I agree here. My other big problem with the hair is clipping into the ears. I can understand longer hair clipping with elf ears, that's to be expected, but many of the fluffier styles clip through the main portion of the ear even on humans.

The eyebrows too. How many types of mono-brow do we actually need?

I also forgot to mention the hairstyle my character has (one the the picture) is literally the only one i can actually tolerate.

Unibrows and brows that take up half your forehead seem to be in fashion in Thedas...yuck.
