I'm reading about things that people want added or corrected in the game, not bugs or fixes as such, but "minor" things, and I thought I'd make this list. Please feel free to add and I'll update it as it grows.
People's assumption is that these things should already have been in the game, so the demand is for a FREE DLC that will address these issues.
~~~
Edit: The list has now started to get pretty big. That's not a bad thing, however, not everyone will agree or care about all of the issues listed. However, these are issues that quite a number of people have mentioned, so they are included, whether all agree or not.
~ CHARACTER CREATION ISSUES ~
1. HAIRSTYLES / HORNS / BEARDS / EYEBROWS - Most people have had enough with the crop cuts for women and the buns for men. Not to mention there's an entire horde of Qunari players screaming their guts out for some livable hairdos. More hairstyles for all, and a SEPARATE horn - hair slider for Qunari. The hairstyles don't necessarily need to be entirely new, just unlock the meshes for the ones already in the game. Anora's hairdo, Cassandra's hairdo, and so on. It's just silly for NPCs to have elaborate beautiful hairdos and the high and mighty Inquisitor going around like a back alley urchin from Orzimmar. Even though many people request new hairdos, even a few of the existing ones will do. The same goes for beards, those beards are awful, hands down. Bring back the wonderful dwarven beard braids from DA:O, and please fix the "hover-beard". Lastly, some people complain about the eyebrows all being bushy.
2. INDEPENDENT COLOUR CHOICE FOR HAIR-EYEBROWS-BEARDS - Just cause we're really disagreeing that black bushy eyebrow looks good on a ginger mage. Let us choose. Also please have a true black option.
3. BETTER CONTROLS AND LIGHTING FOR CC - Many people complain that the lighting and position of the head in CC isn't the same as what you get in the game itself, it's too dark and you end up overdoing the makeup to compensate.
4. BRING BACK FACECODES - Include facecodes as they were used in ME3, so we can create an Inquisitor we like, jot the code down and not have to go through the entire painstaking procedure again at guesswork.
5. THE DREADED PAJAMAS - There's even an entire thread in Reddit about why the heck we're wearing pajamas in Skyhold. Good question! Once again, the mesh is there, you only have to unlock it, and the Inquisitor can walk around in their armour. Or just make an actually cool attire, how hard can that be? Check out some swashbuckling images, and you can find some good unisex attires, if that's your problem that you don't want to make an individual attire for females and males. But please, no more baby-puke-coloured pajamas!
~ INVENTORY & PREVIEW ISSUES ~
6. CHARACTER ZOOM IN PREVIEW - Please allow us to actually zoom in to see the characters in close up when entering inventory or skills mode.
7. INDIVIDUAL HIDE HELMETS - People want to be able to hide the single attrocious mage cap, but be able to see the Qunari's Vitar, for example.
~ TOGGLES [ON/OFFs] ~
8. WEAPON SET TOGGLE - Also speaks for itself, allow us the option to switch between two sets of weapons, not only for rogues dual/bow but for the rest as well.
9. WALK/RUN TOGGLE MODE - Some people don't like running everywhere. Can't blame them. It'd be nice to have, for immersion purposes.
10. TAVERN SONGS/CHANT OF LIGHT SUBTITLE TOGGLE - Whenever you enter the tavern, regardless of who is talking and what they're saying, all you get to read in the subs is the song of the moment. Songs should be background noise, not accentuated like that. We miss what other people say this way. The same goes for the Chant of Light. Mercy, we know that one by heart by now three games down the line.
11. COMBAT GFX TOGGLE - Some people have a real issue with the dazzling and confusing graphical effects of combat abilities. For matters of Ease of Access, please enable a toggle mode for those effects.
12. CRAFTING SCHEMATICS STATS COMPARISON - So we don't have to reload after we spend five minutes making some piece of junk that we thought would be better than the found armour we got on, but in the end isn't. Make it a toggle for additional info at pressing a certain button.
~ ADDITIONS ~
A brief explanation here, I am aware that there are heaps of things that should be added to the game, including Halla mounts, Dalish decors, Inquisitor’s quarters functionality, Skyhold improvements, Harding as a romance option, and ofc weapons and armour. I am PURPOSEFULLY not including those also much needed additions on the basis that they require additional coding and/or programming, and not because they shouldn’t be added. I am only including a couple of additions the codes for which are already there.
13. STORAGE CHEST - Speaks for itself. Given the fuss after DA:O for not being there and being introduced as DLC, and after DA2 which had a storage chest from start, now we're back to not having a storage chest somehow. Why? Go figure. Now, get back to your senses and put the storage chest back in. You could fit an army down at the dungeons, but hey! I can't find anywhere to put my mace!
14. MIRROR - There's various mirrors around Skyhold, it'd be the easiest thing to make one actually functional. Remember the Black Emporium mirror? Yes, that one. Enable past-CC customization in other words. Also not horribly difficult to code.
15. SALVAGE GEAR INSTEAD OF DESTROY - Some people have informed me that in multiplayer you have the option to not destroy any gear that exceed the inventory limit, but salvage them for mats instead. Please add this to single player as well, the mechanics are already there.
~ GAMEPLAY FUNCTIONALITY ISSUES ~
16. PAUSE CINEMATICS - It'd be nice if we could pause a cinematic sequence when that damn phone rings or when someone in the immediate environment starts screaming and shouting. Just saying.
17. NAMED SAVES & UNLOCK SAVE LIMIT - It'd be nice for us to be able to actually distinguish between one Skyhold save and the five consequent... Also, nobody has figured out the reason behind the 250 max saves. Most people have multiple characters and multiples saves.
That's the list as I can think of it, there's probably other issues as well, and as I said, feel free to add any other minor additions you'd like to see implemented in a free dlc below, and I'll update it.
I am specifically not mentioning bugs, fixes and crashes and major issues. Just some minor, cosmetic, aesthetic, functionality, environment related issues that manage to vex too many players.
If you're looking for COMBAT & STRATEGY bugs and related info, this thread is a good informative place to go: http://forum.bioware...k-compilation/
