Ditch your fire flask mine alchs for an ice poison build

Ice flask gives added survability and ability to setup team combos. Poison will quickly drain hp of every enemy in an area on perilous. Some hunters noticed hiw effective this us, and alchs do it better. Also every dagger swing can poison and spread that to other enemies.

Who are you again?
How is that relevant to this thread again? OP is saying that they think a build using ice/poison works better than the usual fire build.

Since I respeced my Fire Flask/Bombs/Stealth/Uppercut Alchemist I'll gladly try your build next. What are 2 remaining skills?

I've been thinking of doing that. I wanted some Poison kills. Getting my Alchemist to 20 and then promote will be a long journey though...

Strongest build for the alchemist based off my personal experience and play style (after promoting the alch 10 times now) is stealth/ frost flask/ shadow strike/ concussion grenade... I have been running the same build but with poison weapons instead of concussion grenade last couple of promotions to get my poison kills for prestige and that will work well also... Just trade more dps vs crowd control. Frost flask is extremely powerful and very useful when used intelligently and is unfortunately overlooked by a lot of players who don't realize it's potential.
I was thinking of doing almost exactly that next, was unsure if I wanted to go Twin Fangs or Shadow Strike though.

It's very relevant. I've only seen him posting on here thus last few days which leads me to believe he just got the game for Christmas. So I was wondering what his credentials are. I've been playing this game and posting on here since release and here's this guy who's just got the game telling me how I should be playing my characters. So you see, it's very relevant no? I wasn't ben mean, I was just asking who he was.How is that relevant to this thread again? OP is saying that they think a build using ice/poison works better than the usual fire build.

Considering how many scrubs I encounter in-game who have been playing since release, playtime is hardly a relevant guage of skill. I also know people who've only played a week or so and perform exceedingly well. Try judging a build by trying it and guaging it's actual merits, rather than applying false 'credentials' just because they've not been posting on the forums as long as you. Just because you've been posting here a long time doesn't make you good.

Nah, you just need an MLG badge, a bottle of Mountain Dew and a bag of Doritos

I prefer shadow strike for a couple of reasons... You can freeze high hp mobs with frost flask and then shatter them with one uppercut, the cool down reduction for all skills when flanking with the upgrade is nice, and the knockdown from it is very handy vs pain in the rear mobs like assasins or the ice Mage demon... It's has a great synergy with frost flask overall

ice flask is okay since you can detonate enemies you freeze with shadow strike or twin fangs. Wouldn't get bitter chill since you risk trolling yourself once the damage resistance ends. Still prefer knockout bomb and fireflask tho since the freeze is only 1 second duration.

I wasn't talking about skill. I was talking about character and game knowledge. I've never seen him post before. I was just asking who he was. I'm not going to listen to someone who doesn't have the game knowledge. Someone who's just picked the game up and thinks they know all the best builds. I'm not going to listen to someone who doesn't put videos up. Why should I waste my time trying this build out when. I can watch penguin's video and see his build work and use that one. You've completely misunderstood me and that's my fault for not elaborating. It's cool. I forgive you.Considering how many scrubs I encounter in-game who have been playing since release, playtime is hardly a relevant guage of skill. I disliked my fire flask alch, tried something new and wint ever go back.

I am pleased this was not another "archer is better than everything else" troll post. This is actually a fairly solid post challenging the traditional view of the Alchemist.

....And it's gone.
Oh well, I liked the idea
Friendly advise: You could try not to make it all about "my 1337 build is better than your n00b build". When you make the post all about how awesome you are and how awesome everyone else is not, it really makes people not want to listen to you. Try wording it more like, "Hey guys, I found this cool new build... what do you all think about it?" Engaging others and asking them to respond gets a lot better response.

I'm kinda underwhelmed by the Fire Flask carpet bomb build too. Does anyone have an Ice Flask / Poison build?

Working on something... May not be Ice, but I am definitely liking Poison for my Alchemist build guide video.
