I should have known better with the name EA attached to this game and the history of Bioware games while being great also being buggy as all who knows hell. But I thought i would give this game a chance as the First dragon age was a great game and not all that buggy. I can not play this goddamn game for more than 30mins without running into some obscene game breaking bug. The worst and still unaddressed bug is the dialouge freeze bug that has been known since day 1. Do you not FIWIUAIUAIing test your games AT ALL? I can not finish Wicked eyes/Hearts story quest because 75% of the time when i enter a dialouge with any NPC the game freezes and goes to the loading screen. Heres a list of some of the awesome bugs ive encountered.

1. Dialouge freezes/loading screen.

2. skills that wont toggle on and off.

3. Dragons that do break dancing and aerobics spin demonstrations while you are trying to kill them.

4. War Table quests that never finish.

5. Items/npcs/ etc and can not be targeted

6. skin textures and hair that magically changes.

Things that are not a bug that just suck

1. PC controls suck

2. skill progression is utterly dumbed down some skill trees are worthless.

3. uninspiring fetch quests.

4. very few monster model variations.

5. Ice mage SUCKS/ Lightning mage SUCKS

6. Graphics engine for game is poorly optimized

7. while the game was sold as being a huge sprawling world in all honesty its nothing of the sorts many barren empty zones, its like playing wheres waldo looking for mobs to kill sometimes.

8. NPC party member AI is awful; not nearly enough options to give orders / set gambits.

9. too much useless LOOT

10. CRAPPIEST AMOUNT OF STORAGE SPACE FOR LOOT EVER IN A RPG.

If my bank will allow me to charge back i think i will do it. I am sick and tired of being sold half-assed lies by corporate money milking game developers. EA/Bioware has not learned anything from there past mistakes.

Come on, is there really something so wrong with someone sharing that their experience is different?

Nope, sorry, if anyone else reports an issue that other players don't have, he is NOT ALLOWED to have it either! I don't have pink elephants dancing on screen, so y'all not allowed to EVEN DISCUSS pink elephants anywhere at all, period!

However did you dare think you can complain about some issue I don't have?!

I own a pc copy and ps4 copy.

I gotta say playing this on PS4 is an absolute pleasure, it looks and runs fantastically. With around 250 hours played I have not encountered any game breaking bugs at all, only thing I have experienced is the dialogue wheel occasionally wont come up when speaking to npcs, but trying again in a bit fixes that.

PC copy I still find playable, few more bugs but nothing that stops me from enjoying the game and I haven't had any crashes etc.

All in all the console version is fantastic, and pc version just needs a few bugs squashed but is still definitely playable and very enjoyable. The PC version is not the crumbling mess some claim it to be. If it was it would be across the board, but there are people on PC that have a relatively bug free time.

That's good for you. However, it's obvious by reading the forums that other people have diverse experience with the game, across all platforms. So, you're lucky or have a really solid gaming rig, but please remember that not everyone is and does.

I haven't experienced game breaking bugs. Just some rare crashes to desktop and the occasional benign bug.

But I didn't finish the game yet. I stopped when I got to Skyhold. I got fed up with the PC controls and poor inventory management.

Waiting for improvements...

The only annoyance bug I encountered while playing the game was during the boss fight while trying to turn the trebuchet. While fighting the behemoth red templar my game crashed three times... Each at the exact same point I think it was during on of those shouts that the behemoth does or something, I don't remember. I just remember having to do the fight three times over because of crashes.

Other than that, bugs in items that are suppose to be on the ground. Bugs on terrain, where you are suppose to be climbing up a hill but the game doesn't know where you are standing so you are a foot above the terrain. And graphical errors where the terrain is not yet completed, I saw a massive black patch in one of the areas of Crestwood.

the last 2 days i've had alot of ctd, i haven't updated anything on my pc or in game so that can't be why it's ctd, other than that i have conversations that lock up and i can't pick anything to respond to people i'm in that convo with, this issue i have on both my pc and my ps4, the ctd is only on my pc, other than those 2 issues i haven't encountered any game breaking bugs, but still these 2 are frustrating, especially the ctd that happened 3 times in a row trying to do the dalish restock the camp side quest, i gave up and just went to play on my ps4 until the crashes get a fix, but i love the game and will play it once we get fixes for alot of the bugs people are encountering

DA3 crashes immediately or within 2 minutes with some bad graphics call.  Nvidia seems to be behind updating drivers.

OP, your system specs would be useful. People will always have a range of experience on PC since all PC's are different.

I can say that this game runs flawlessly on my system, and I play at all Ultra w/ 2x MSAA @ 1440p:

Intel i7 4820k @ 3.7GHz w/ Corsair H60 cooler

EVGA GTX 780ti Superclocked w/ ACX cooler (most recent drivers)

16gb RAM

Windows 8.1 (most recent updates)

As for controls, I play with a wireless xbox controller and it's great for me.

My only complaint is low-rez textures mixed with nice high-rez ones (example is beautiful facial textures, but low-rez armor and hair).

Yeah, what a brilliant troll comment ¬_¬

I have played 50 hours of the game bug-free.

I'm not a troll

I'm not "paid" by bioware

The game has been clean and brilliant so far

For me it isn't. 48 hours in, playing on PS4 though. It only crashes for me when I try MP, which is odd.

I have experienced some of the same problems that other PC players are experiencing. This includes the strange pause/freezing title screen, some stuttering when cutscenes begin to play, dip in frame rates, etc.

However, its seems my biggest issue is entering certain new areas. I experience a large drop in frame rates. If I try to move or anything, then sometimes the game will lock up for a few seconds. Almost always, I just wait a few seconds after coming into area and my processors will eventually catch up. Then, that area will play flawlessly as long as I stay in it, (good frame rates in battles, etc, without a hitch).

In my first playthrough, around 100 hours, I experienced exactly two crashes to desk top.  However, I must admit since the second  patch, I have experienced probably 7-8 crashes to desk top on my new play through, and I just arrived at skyhold.  The second patch has made life a bit more difficult for me, more crashes and longer load times.

Now, having said all this, I am actually thrilled!  Why?  Because, my operating system is VISTA which in turn forces me to use old drivers for my video card.  So, I really can't complain too much.  I have had much greater success than a lot of other PC players who actually meet the recommended requirements.  I don't even meet the minimum with this operating system.

Bugs you say!

I experienced a bug doing Sera's quest concerning the ambush a nobleman set up for her followers.  The nobleman never did appear, so I couldn't talk to continue mission.  I just reloaded a previous save, went to new area, came back to do quest again, and it worked this time.

I had trouble turning in one quest at crestwood.  However, I saved, reloaded, then was able to turn in.

Sometimes, companions and npcs do not show  up were they are suppose to be.  I go to location save, then reload.  There they are.

I know this is long post, so I will wrap up.  I have read and heard many testimonies of pc users and old system users (360/ps3) and the problems are undeniable.  I am huge bioware fan and have bought most of their games since baldur's gate.  But, they dropped the ball on optimizing this game for those three systems.  It should have been released for PS4 and XONE, but delayed a few months for the other platforms.

Anyways,  thanks for reading.  I hope yall can enjoy the game at some point.

I have had four run throughs on a PS3 and two on a PS4 and no problems that made the game ANYWHERE near unplayable.

Before the first patch I had to hit the skip conversation button in two places. Now I don't.

The game has a few bugs here and there but hardly unplayable.
