INstalling a retail copy of Mass Effect 2, i cant get past the part of the install where you need to insert the second disc. Disc 2 spins up fine and the exe works, however the installer dosnt seem to recognize it, the window pops up saying to insert the next disc with the options to retry and cancel. Waiting fo the disc to spin up and continue the install on its own dosnt work nor does hitting retry.

Try to burn an image of disc 2, then 'insert' it in your virtual rom.

Maybe it will help.

return your copy and get a new one.

That is why I always get the download version whenever I can.

I tried my second dvd drive and it worked for some reason.

I tried making an image of Disc 2 and ran into the same problem, now Im making images of both discs and following the steps in this thread social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/106/index/766531/1#767671 If that dosnt work Ill go and get an exchange

made images of both discs, mounted both and started the install and it worked fine. just started the campaign

I have this same problem and backed up both dvds via ISO. It working so far but I'm going back to Gamestop to get an exchange and if not, at least replacement discs.
