Vanilla Human Infiltrator colored cerulean blue and black. Give him the Batglove, spec him for melee, max out Cryo Blast, name him Sub Zero, relive the glory days of Mortal Combat.

What are you talking about Mortal Kombat is still as popular as ever, Mortal Kombat 9 was the best selling Mortal Kombat game ever and Mortal Kombat X will do even better.

Yes, because that extra 30% Force comes in more handy than the 40% additive Melee Damage, whether you choose to take the Power Hammer or 2 Charges on the Biotic Hammer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give that build a shot, although I think I]d prefer to have an extra charge for the Biotic Hammer. That two hits might be handy instead of one every 7 to 8 seonds.

I'll give it a try though.

Yeah I prefer 2 charges as well, but with the Power Hammer (single charge) I can take down Big Bosses with 1 hit under certain conditions, but those conditions require teammates. If you prefer not to rely on teammates, 2 charges is a much more safer option.

Really? I had no idea the Mortal Kombat series was still around. I guess I lost track after the movie.

The fighting genre has greatly reduced in popularity since the 1990s and early 2000s but the Mortal Kombat series is the exception because of its much wider appeal outside that of the now niche fighting game enthusiasts.

How the **** did you come up with a batglove SI?

Well, when the batglove came out, I did put it on almost every kit. In the end, I found the funniest was the Krentinel, but the SI was not that bad. And as said Clyde with his Melee Mordin, it works well with the Venom or the Scorpion.
It is also amusing playing a SI without a sniper for once.

Try this.

I run an almost identical Krolord build, except with a two charge biotic hammer and Claymore. It is absurdly fun to play against Reapers on Gold, one shotting Ravagers with BH, and Brutes are dead after shot + BH. All the biotic bonuses push the BH damage higher while still retaining enough damage (just over 4000) to one punch most mooks with a raging backhand -- more melee damage than that is wasted on the majority of attacks.

It's not as effective against Geth without a Reegar for quickly stripping the shields on a Prime, but... Krolord vs. Geth is boring enough.

I'll throw in some fun to play if nothing else melee kits.

The BF3 soldier with a falcon is pretty entertaining. Stagger things then slap them to death, or act like your dream was to punch things with an omni-blade like in the trailers. Far from the most damaging build, but it'll make you laugh. Works great against cerberus, but platinum gets a bit too boss spammy for it. On a side note, maxing frags and running it as a normal kit is also really fun.

The no flamer vorcha soldier is fun if you enjoy being stupidly aggressive and realize the vorcha sentinel and geth trooper do flamer better. I've found it to be a lot more effective on platinum than many other melee builds (barring known top end ones). It's not easy, but it can work. Remember that a melee focused bloodlust tree has less health regen than a normal build!

In both cases I don't take incapacitate on carnage because melee tracking isn't the best on knocked down targets. That spec should also knock the shield of a guardian back. Both kits could be "optimized" a bit better, but that's how I run them anyways.

Quarksman and bat-glove juggy are also fun if you like quirky builds. Marksman rank 2 is all I recommend since rank 3 duration just locks you out of your de-buffs for longer. Tech vulnerability+tac scan actually does pretty good damage (don't take batarian gauntlet). I can't remember if I've used the melee quarian on platinum or not, but I have used the falcon punching juggy on platinum a few times. A juggy who can't heavy melee rep his shields is a challenge, but falcon punching with a giant robot is worth it! Spam geth turret since it restores some shields.

Whuh? Not counting Super/Ultra, Street Fighter IV has sold 3+ million copies. MK wasn't a whole lot more...or as good.

This is what has kept me from doing a melee focused vorcha. And not only do you have less health regen, if you focus on melee in the fitness tree, you have less HP to work with as well.

You can melee with all kits. They're all fun.

Turian sabotuer, Valkyrie, paladin are my favorites, followed by the obvious krosent and warlord.

Try an N7 Shadow build:

Works very good on Silver. Is survivable in Gold, though you'll need multiple melee attacks or a shotgun to the face for anything past the mook level. Substitute cyclonics for added survivability.

Pistol can be dropped, but I find emptying the thermal clip into the last remaining Atlas using RHA to be a lot easier than close combat.
