MESSAGE POPULAIRE !

How many of these 8 million plus pc gamers do you think you scammed into getting their pre-order money with this console port?  Can't find the number for console Origin users online, but I'll guess it's nowhere near as many.

I know there was a big number of returns back in November (it's impossible to find those numbers), but even with that, it must have been a staggering amount of (dirty) money for a company who used to provide quality pc games.

I hope you enjoy it because, after this (and unless you hire a new team of devs with pc experience to patch this mess of a game) I don't see this trend continuing with your next title.

I don't know if the average PC gamer will have a long enough memory when the next iteration arrives. I would think the executive you mention is betting on renewed hype and gamer forgetfulness.

I can only speak for myself and say that I will no longer pre purchase and will wait for at least a 20% discount.

Of course that if they do come up with a satisfactory fix for the PC controls, I would be more forgiving.

Funny thing - I've never voted for pirated (counterfeit) games. But if I've leeched a cracked copy of DA:I I would've never bought it.

So I'm now an unhappy posessor of the game who feels abandoned in the moment of a bitter rage... cause I am not heard by developers.

Eight million concurrent users on Steam? That's a lot of people playing Dota and Hat Fortress.

This is not the first PC game with a shitty console UI. Hell, New Vegas was as buggy and had as shitty UI.

Well, certainly for the next ME4 you will not see me pre-order. It may be the PC game to end all PC games from Bioware. I don't care.

No, I will wait after the sale launch date and then visit the ME4 forums to get the truth about the game.

But that's the point. DA:O and DA2 UI were fine... absolutely no reason to massacre the interface, except to save time and money.

Ugh... I can't disagree with you, mate.

Pitifully shallow and overly simplified tactics (less options -> less control -> stronger butthurt), not really handy movement (sometimes responds slowly, no mouse control), no target following for melee heroes (you have to follow the enemy yourself, but for some reason the enemies are usually much faster than you are), no auto attack, fairly poor optimization, disappearing NPCs, weird hero freezes (though everything around the hero moves just fine as well as camera), localisation language issues (eng. sound but only russian text? really? I do know russian language, but i'm not russian, i don't live in russia, I don't use/speak it in my everyday life - why the hell i have to play the game with russian text ONLY? Damn EA racists...). Those are not even half of frustrating things I've encountered.

BioWare was one of my favorite developers: I LOVED Dragon Age: Origins, before that I LOVED Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic, even bugish SW: KOTOR 2, damn Mass Effect 1 was one of my favorite Acation-RPGs ever!!! But starting from Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2 everything went to hell...  And now DAI.

I play on console, and I waited until the price came down by 25% before buying DA:I.

Why did they know they could just port it to PC and still make sales? Experience, probably.

 even bugish SW: KOTOR 2

I'm pretty sure that wasn't BioWare.

Eh.. the devs obey marching orders from EA management. Bio, after all, is a Division of EA.

Patch 3 is coming.. I read the tea leaves.. soon.. maybe February time frame.

EA/Bioware will not show a DLC until some of the major PC issues are resolved.  If they do, then that action confirms their console-centric focus.

While DA2 UI was fine, it had a ton of bugs. Why? Ask the clown who decided that consoles are the great platform for tactical action RPGs...

Though BioWare wasn't directly developing the game, Obsidian got the "Odyssey" game engine from BioWare as well as technical assistance.

You can't blame Bioware for Obsidian being Obsidian.

DA2 has a similar amount of UI consolization but with better controls, IMO.

Well, i still liked the game, though it was bugish, unlike DA2 or ME2...

I will never buy another Bioware / EA product unless its for huge discount and i am interested in it.

I haven't bought an Bioware-game since DA:O, simply because i have become more and more aware

of their lies and scemes to decieve their PC-customers.

I bought ME2 for 5$sale.. and DA2 for 5$Best buy bargain... a minimal amount (if any) of money tossed to Bioware.

And i refuse to buy any DLC's for PC simply because Bioware's greed by not putting them on Origin and discount for PC-gamers.

I'm actually laughing at all those PC-gamers who bought DA:I and are now crying about how bad it is....  Some people will never

learn the truth about these 2 companies - not even after the ME3 scandal and Casey Hudson quitting Bioware after EA ruined his game.

DAI was my last full price Bioware purchase. Not going to give them the benefit of the doubt again. Bioware games are new a second hand or bargain bin buy at best now.

That's interesting because New Vegas is one of the 'sequels' I have not yet played.  Fallout 3 was entertaining I thought.  Don't remember UI or controls being an issue.  Were they very much changed in the add-on?

Patch 3 is coming.. I read the tea leaves.. soon.. maybe February time frame.

By February there will be even less backlash for a patch that, more than likely because of the engine and lack of able programmers, will again fail to address anything significant with this disappointment of a game...

Which means it's up to the modders at this point to save Inquisition.

If I worked up there in Edmonton for this company I would be ashamed and embarrassed.

Really? You're going to use Steam stats? >.>

Steam, the front end with a gamepad controlled Big Screen UI? Where 40% of the available games have gamepad support? Including 2 out of the 3 most played games ( and those 2 also have console versions? ). Steam, the bastion of traditional console genre games being remade as indie games?

Not to rain on your hyperbolic PC Master Race parade or anything but Steam is really not the best example here. ;p

It is not a port, though I do believe that the PC was balanced with console gamers in mind. Read or heard a Dev speaking of the eight slot limit was due to maintaining fairness for DA-MP, even if one cannot play cross-platforms.

And I pre-ordered; will hopefully be able to do so again.

nonsensical argument, MP has 4 slots not 8... and different ability trees altogether

EA? Casey Hudson managed to "ruin" his game all on his own.

I have not used DA-MP, but I understand that the four slot UI is layered for a second four slots in the solo game. If this is incorrect, my bad. Believe the original quote came from a DA-MP Twitch stream.
