I have the actual helm but would like to craft it from scratch if possible. Also, is there an drop/schematic for the armor?
Anyone know where to get free marches schematics?

I have tier 2 schematics for Free Army mage and warrior armours so they do appear to exist in the game. Likely as random drops, though. Occasionally the armours themselves drop as well.

Hinterlands has a few tier 2 grind spots chest's that if you leave 1 item they will regen each tiem you load up a save game.
One is the big chest towards the templar camp stand next to it save then load after that load till you get gear the save etc etc.
Another is by the castle with the mage clan bottom right of the map same trick as above. The chest is on the left side of the path as you exit the broken tower that leads to the castle.
A third is in the cave behind the lake camp forget were .
