What is the best way for Mages to pursue larger chances of getting crits? (Not bigger crits, but crits mroe often?)

What is the roof I can expect to find in this pursuit?

Thanks.

Seer Staff schematic has 2 leather offense slots which allows you to, with great bear hide, boost your crit chance by 21%. Dragon Staff Blade has an additional 6 leather offense, giving you another 10%. The Hilted Staff Grip has 8 more leather offense for 14% crit chance. All of this uses great bear hide

This crafted Seer Staff will have 45% crit.

If you want to boost it even further, make sturdy prowler armor with lurker scales in the utility slots. This will in turn boost your cunning, boost your crit. Though I haven't really found a reason to go beyond the seer staff, I'd rather boost my dexterity for better damage.

For your helm I think the mask of the empress is always good.

Boosts crit % damage, so your crits will hurt more when they go off. Only boosts attack for rogues.

The greatest amount of crit chance would be roughly the following:

weapon - offense:leather
armor/upgrades - utility:leather (cunning) -youll probly need to use t2 rogue armor crafted with snofluer hide

mask of the grand duchess

enhanced ring of critical chance * 2

Are you building around flashpoint? Does the 10 second internal cooldown really apply?

Not building around any particular thing, just trying to learn the game. Thanks.

Keep in mind, then, that critical hits (unless you're building for abilities that trigger off criticals) are currently (and strictly speaking) inferior to just pumping attack %. In fact a lot of things are inferior to attack % except in circumscribed cases (e.g. armour penetrating bonuses or +main damage stat).

The most counterintuitive result is that Willpower is by far the best stat to pump, especially for tanks.
