So, I made a good female elf, but then I noticed that something is not right with her lips.... She sometimes looks like a rat in cutscenes with her teeth sticking out. I noticed that some mouth shapes have this problem in the CC and I made the sure that i "close" her mouth so that her teeth would not stick out, but it still shows up ingame. Is this a bug with those specific mouthshapes or what ? I'll have to start from scratch again..
What the hell ?

It seems to happen on occasion with a number of settings sometimes if you cancel out of browsing them. If you don't go back into the option and reselect your original choice you end up with a blend of two options. Sometimes its interesting, usually its horrifying. It can happen if you go by the goofy teeth mouth shape. It will sometimes bug out and apply goofy teeth to the other mouth shapes.
Same thing can happen with face and eye shapes. =/

Nah. I think it's a particular preset that does this. Swap the preset and let the bunny bug you no more.
It's as if I got a game called DA:Chargen for Christmas, haven't even started yet

So, take screenshots of your settings just in case. Most of the time, this just means your chin shape slider pulled the lower mouth too much back, and it reveals the top teeth with certain expressions. The starting 'look up at the sky' shot is perfect for testing this.
And sometimes, it well may be a case of weird preset + cancel-induced half-shape interactions, I'm not sure...

I've seen it happen if I forget to go back and double check everything just before I approve my changes. Somehow you end up with one of the two sets of lips that do that. Pretty easy to tell if it will happen, on test voice, put the head in a 3/4 angle, test voice, watch the mouth to see if you see front teeth. If so, you have the rat mouth thing. Move chin up and/or forward and/or change the lip shape to fix it.

I generally only ever use the 1st mouth for both humans and elves. Never had a problem with herp-a-derp mouth, lol. ![]()

And then there's that one/two sets of mouth that are made for it...

Good to know Bioware caters to the buckteethed, bald part of their demographic!

Actually used that mouth shape on a few of my characters, to me anyhow if you play about with it along with chin/jaw sliders u can get some sweet results

That's nothing compared to the cardboard cutout teeth of ME1-2.

I made a new character and I mostly fixed the problem by adjusting the chin shape.... I kinda bring it a bit forward and up and it "closes" her mouth and teeth don't stick out now. Hopefully they will fix this issue in the future.
