*gasp* hitting Dorian's precious face, what blasphemy.
Who can leave you?

Yeah, they want you to have at least the full time to face the final boss, but the aftergame can only have 3 people and 2 can or will leave after the game which leave you with Varric only.
There are several videos where they leave. I'm too nice to be mean to anyone but you can make a lot of them leave.

You really have to love the irony of Blackwall's disapproval farewell.
Anyway, these are pretty great. Dorian's scene easily makes me feel the worst.

Awww man it's just tough having to be this bad. I can't deal with Dorian's complete disapproval and to hit him? >_< and Sera! Even though she's not my favorite, the way you can treat her is pretty sad. Ughhhhhhhhhh
Yeah, after watching those videos I don't know if I'll be able to finish this character. It's rather hilarious being a complete selfish jerk, but honestly Dorian and Cole are my faves and watching those videos..just..hurts lol
I had to play as a man to deassociate myself haha It's funny and a challenge so ill try and push through :-/

I was very disappointed by this rumor being false. I thought choices would actually matter and that companions were at risk, but the game decided to be incredibly safe.
So having seen what happened to his brother and meridith, Varric was supposed to not take precautions when studying the red lyrium? That's why Gaider is the writer of this series, not the fans.

I feel the same and learned from older games that playing as the opposite sex is a great way to disconnect myself. Most of my female characters are edgier/meaner than their male counterparts.
Also, I'm jealous of that person in your avatar. If that is you, I declare you my nemesis, because I'm the only fan of his that should matter. ![]()

Haha yes that is me :-) he full on hugged me before the picture. It is the highlight of my life!! (can I say that without sounding too pathetic?) I don't want to be your nemisis though, so I'm sure he really wishes he was hugging you :-)

LOL playing as a man helps! I did this with Hawke. There's no way I could kill Alistair in my Amell world save so I made generic dude Garrett Hawke and left him in the fade. The saddest thing was dealing with Varric but I was like "Varric that's not really your Hawke, my canon Hawke reunited with Fenris after Skyhold! We good."

Yeah, I can't leave my cannon Hawke in the fade. Alistair, is hard too but, better him, he's a Warden so the calling would take him young anyway. I can ally the remaining wardens and, with Cullen and Cassandra around, that's enough guidance to help the rebuild.

I did the same thing second playthrough. I was lucky my first playthrough was with Stroud, so I could prepare for my warden Alistair by using a generic Hawke and pretend he was just some random guy lol I would have died if I had to make decision between Alistair and my real Hawke!! Can't imagine how anyone dealt with that!!!

Yeah I can't do that~ I can't do that to Fenris or my Warden. Just sad face all around. Warden Alistair gets saddled with random dude Hawke everytime lol.

Should've had a scene like that for Sera, and I actually like her. But she deserves it sometimes. Blackwall as well, given who he is.

Wow. Dorian's scene just...he may be a little full of himself but even with that much disapproval he handled everything like a gentleman. Kind of seems out of place to hit him, whereas Solas just basically asks for it with the shlt he says.

Blackwall's quest triggers very late in the game, and we don't know who he is yet before then. By then, there wouldn't be enough disapproval to get him from positive approval (personal quest usually need high approval) to extremely negative approval.

Can Vivienne be driven out? I haven't seen anything on her, but cold disdain and refusal to talk. Also, Bull.

Yeah in Dorian's scene, the Inquisitor looks like a straight up a-hole. It's pretty great. It's going to be super difficult to try and do this, but I'll just have to suck it up and create that elven bastard that I've been meaning to make.

Rick Astley won't.
I believe I read a forumer post that basically they confront you about you being such a turd and you can either tell them to leave or stay.

Going by what I've experienced and seen...
People who can leave: Dorian, Blackwall, Sera, Cassandra (In Post-Game if she becomes Divine) Solas (Always Leaves At the End of the Game, Regardless of Your Choices, but Never Before The End)

No, you can't. When she's mad at you, she's acting like a kid, and hire people to more around your furniture inside the castle. You can't even call her out on it. She'll have the upperhand in the conversation regardless.

Cole can absolutely leave.
Not sure about The Iron Bull or Vivienne.

When you leave Hawke in the fade though, you immediately get Varric greatly disapproves. Right after you step out and he asks where Hawke is.
Only if you take him with you though. I left him behind for my most recent playthrough in favor of Cole, and he never disapproved, even back at Skyhold. I will do that in future playthroughs too; Hawke will always get the boot in favor of Alistair, Loghain, and Stroud.

I wish Vivienne could either die/leave, I really hate her.
Cassandra should be able to leave, sort of like Alistair in DA:O, only after a certain point in the game. Varric should be able to leave as well, or die from red lyrium. That rumor had me excited until I found out it was false>![]()
Iron Bull should be able to leave too. Everyone should be at risk of death/leaving like in DA:O, it really makes it feel like your story is unique and you can actually control what happens.

Oh believe me, I've done my best to get rid of Vivienne and she still just...stands in the balcony and moves furniture around. I really don't understand her, supposedly she's with the inquisition to protect her interests (i.e the status quo) and is apparently terrified of irrelevance, yet even as my inquisitor works to abolish the circles, massively reform the chantry and puppet the orlaisian throne, she does absolutely nothing. It's really quite ironic that every other companion has an agenda they actively pursue whilst Vivienne who's advertised as an aggressive powerplayer does virtually nothing at all. Bioware! Petition for DLC to push Vivienne off the balcony!

I'm the worst at this!! I kicked Cole out and had to restart because his response was too heartbreaking. Haha
I do wish there were more consequences to our actions though, in regards to party members. I like when our mistakes can make them leave or fight us or even die. That sounds terrible, but it just gives more weight to my decisions.
I'm not complaining though, I absolutely love the game. :-)
